Live video of HTC’s “Dream” Android phone?
Yeah, it’s not the highest quality video we’ve ever seen, but if you can look past the blurriness and Darth Vader breathing noises you might be pleasantly surprised. Thanks to an eagle-eyed tipster, we’ve some video footage of what might be the HTC Dream. The world’s first Android handset is in fine form here, sporting a slide out QWERTY keyboard in addition to some touchscreen goodness. The Android interface appears to be tweaked a bit from the last time we saw it, with an auto-rotating display and what appears to be a relatively responsive touchscreen. The phone looks good with the keyboard hidden, but when the panel slides out it reveals a Sidekick-esque design that might inspire more than its share of hatred. Then again, this could be some sick jerk playing games with an eager public. What do you think? Is this legit or a sorry excuse for a joke?
Thanks, Nina!

You guy’s think this will be new phone for T-mobile or all carriers? I wonder when is it coming out exactly. I want to get new Iphone but then I don’t want to lose opportunity with Android.
not really bad. but i didn’t hope for it to be the Android either. it should be better than that.
Damn! I thought I was the only one who thought that was funny.
I like the white – classic google – but I hope they ditch the qwerty keyboard as is – maybe if it slid down for a pearl-like format instead of to the side? I say ditch the keyboard entirely, but idk if google is going for something that high tech
He should have breathed away from the mic, just like that “chocolate rain” guy… =p
please don’t let that be the gphone!!
PS
Thanks tmonews for BREAKING the news>>.
I’ll take one. Stop looking at the phone and look at the specs.
actually, I think it combines the best of both worlds. the only problem with the iphone is the lack of QWERTY. the dream looks in fact like a dream…
I don’t understand the negativity towards the keyboard. I wasn’t even remotely interested in it as a touchscreen – just buy an iPhone if I could get past the fake keyboard.
But with the real keyboard it would be at the very top of my list. I have a Blackberry now and the only thing I really don’t like about it is the lack of a bigger keyboard like I had with my Sidekick.
To everyone above. this is indeed the dream. I know for a fact. it will be available for pre-order september 17th. It will be worth the money. i got to play with a test demo. Its amazing
