New Live Pics of the BlackBerry Javelin
We can see smoke rising up all over the country. Legions of BlackBerry addicts are none too happy as a result of the unending iPhone coverage that culminated today with the release of the Jobso’s latest brainchild. Sure we played our part with photos and a video of the first iPhone 3G unboxing in the US, some exclusive info as well as some coverage. Hell, we’re even giving a couple of iPhone 3Gs away. The whole time we still had love for you BlackBerry fans though. So here we are now. It’s d-day and to be honest we’ve had about enough of Apple for the time being. So let’s close out the week right with a few new live shots of the BlackBerry Javelin that found their way out into the fray. A reminder of what we can look forward to:

Whats faster, wi-fi or 3G?
Umm I thought the Javelin was basically the bold without 3G and with less performance, basically a replacement for the curve. So those complaining about no 3G, now you know why.
If this thing had 3g, I would buy it for sure. Why rim why?????????? Only if it had 3g
1) What’s an “ArgonV” processor?
2) GPS, instead of a-GPS? what gives?
3) Sweet. Good to see some more pics of the Curve style device. Fortunately, it will have 3G when it finally launches on Verizon
4) Now when do we get spyshots of the Pearl 3?

No 3G??? WTF is RIM thinking!? I’m getting the Bold and I would’ve gotten this one but no 3G!? That’s just plain stupid
is the only major difference between the bold and javelin with 3G vs Edge?
I’m guessing no 3g because this is going to be cheaper than the bold. But with all the other features… who knows.
WiFi will almost always be faster than 3g unless somebody hooked a router up to a piss poor DSL or dialup connection.
3g is not fast internet in comparison to what most people are used to on their computer. It could potentially be but in order to support a large userbase, they have to cut down on speeds so everybody can use it at once.
I’m taking a wild-assed guess that the reason this one doesn’t have 3G is because they haven’t slimmed their chipsets down enough yet to accommodate the Curve’s size. And the Kickstart is probably RIM’s anti-Centro.
Anyway, this will probably be my next ‘Berry unless the Kickstart ships with WiFi and GPS.

1. This phone is being made exclusive for T-mobile
2. T-mobile does not support 3G.
Why would they add 3G to a phone whose carrier does not support it?
I heard T-mobile is going to support 3G in the future, but is there a solid “go live” date?

Perfect replacement for my Curve. The Bold is hot but the Javelin’s simply sexy.
