AT&T iPhone 3G shipment info
Tired of the onslaught of iPhone 3G news? You’re going to have to bear with us a little longer, friends. We just got word on some semi-strange but sensible iPhone 3G shipment policies. Here’s how it goes: AT&T stores have already received most likely two shipments of iPhone 3Gs. All AT&T stores will be getting a third shipment of iPhone 3Gs tomorrow, but there’s a catch. They can’t sell Friday’s shipment until Saturday. And guess what? There’s a fourth shipment coming Saturday, and you guessed it — they can’t sell those until Sunday. While this might mean some poor souls in line won’t be getting their iPhone 3Gs tomorrow, if they don’t get there early enough, it gives everyone who couldn’t scam their way out of work a chance to live again. What’s the verdict on the policy? Yay, or nay?

Local apple stores should have them through the weekend. I just waited in line for 2hrs at the Apple Store in Aventura, FL (High-Wealth Miami Area). The manager told that even in this market, they expect to have enough to last through the weekend. Try the Apple Stores, seems as if they got in thousands rather than tens.
I already committed a payment to AT&T for a black 16g, but they said it may not get there until next Wednesday.
They drop the charge after 7 days if you don’t pick the phone up after they get the shipment in, so should I just try going to an Apple store?
love to go to apple to get my phone, really i would. no one told me the iru accounts can’t be accessed. i had the phone in my hand and i was denied. so now i HAVE to get it at AT&T and i called all the local ones today and they all said they don[’t have any, whats the deal?

First one in the store sunday and no iphones. Said they got some for sat but not for sunday, so ordered one and they said 7 to 10 days which is fine.
yes, what BGR said is generally true, for our store we sold our 2 day stock the opening day, now we are sold out.
Apple stores will have more in stock but they there are less Apple stores than ATT stores so they will carry more per store than one COR store but combining all ATT stores and apple stores we should have generally the same amount.
I just hope that one day we’ll see a well made documentary, broadcast primetime on national TV, about Apple, Jobs, and the evil within. A film in which you’ll see what’s going on behind the white and shiny brand, about the ruthless manipulative tactics and total lack of business ethics this company is based on. About the real reason you’re waiting hours in line, the real reason that activation server went down, the real reason the iPhone is crippled and so forth. A documentary that would portray what happens with an Apple employee if he/she makes the smallest, most insignificant mistake, plus the general stress and anxiety they have to deal with every day worrying about getting fired. And oh-so-many more dirty secrets “they don’t want you to know about”.
Is Apple making money? Oh, yes. Is Steve Jobs a man of character? Oh well.
Am I a hypocrite for typing this very message with my iPhone? Not at all.
