Like, for realz? You’re going after the kid right now? The Bold-breaker? Javelin-leaker? Thunder-scoopster? Kickstart-poster? I’m not even going to get into too many details but I will respond to a couple of the more stupid questions and insinuations posed. First off, you’re saying one of my AT&T sources gave me information on the Thunder, right? Because that makes so much sense. You know, a device which very few people have had access to, being used by someone who works for AT&T. If you haven’t heard by now, it’s coming to Verizon. Idiots. But what about time frame BG? “IT’S COMING OUT IN AUGUST!!!” What did I tell you when I broke the Thunder story? November. What’s 4-5 months from now? November. Oh, ok. Secondly, my source is a source I would trust 100x over almost anybody else. Not going to give too much away to protect him, but let’s say they work for RIM and has helped BGR out a ton in the past. Sorry guys, but we don’t regularly cite commenters as our “high-up sources.” Lastly… the iPhone fanboy accusations. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but 65-70% of our readers are BlackBerry fanatics, and we’re the world-leader in BlackBerry news. I didn’t want to get into this, but if you’d really like to, go add up all your “exclusive” BlackBerry stories and let’s see how many were correct. Then add up mine. Go ring-a-ling that bell somewhere else, because I don’t play games. I bring factual heat.
P.S. Please stop using the term ninja. Ninjas are people who risk their jobs and livelihood for your site and your readers, not people who comment on your blog.

Seriously this is where the blogosphere truly needs to mature. While stories from different journalists can conflict, rarely would you see one journalist outright blast another journalist.

BGR….really? Kevin never attempted to discredit your news of the Thunder, he just released his info that happened to be contrary to yours. What’s with all the hate? Insecure much? Seems so.
In the future, don’t respond to such discrepancies. People on “top” should let their record speak for them. Right?
People get a grip!! There are alot of forums on the net that are great sources of info. BGR is definitely one of them, but so is CrackBerry.com. And no one has mentioned BlackBerry forums.com.
These sites ALL try to pass on to their readers the latest news (and hopefully) accurate information. And that is why we read them, so we will then be in a position to make an informed decision.

OK lets end all the drama. Bottom line Boy Genius yes you do get alot of information and your site is the first I check before Crackberry and Endgadget mobile. But you have been wrong off on specs and release dates in the past. I never would have thought about The boy genius being an AT&T guy but then I remember when boy genius first started and you through that party with fabolous and the AT&T Tilt. hmmm Why the Tilt? Yes you are a great source of information but i know your more of an iphone guy not saying you roll with at&t but i know you might have at one point. Yeah you did work for endgadget or probably still do that I do not know. But why mess with Crackberry? Mad that they came out with a story before you or a story that you didnt get first???? Honestly everyone here knows when that thunder comes out its going to crush the iphone regardless of glitches here and there. The new iphone didnt do anything to improve outside the lame gps with no voice, the 3G which doesnt even last you more than 5 hours 4.5 from what I am hearing, and extra space for music. Overall the iphone has a good price but still is not going to beat the bold let alone the thunder. No I am not biased I have an Iphone and a Curve and I could never let my blackberry down for no iphone. So heres to you boy genius at&t rep or not. I still rock with your site but that was immature and childish to aim at another site. Get it straight man we dont want to go on 2 sites hearing them bicker like a bunch of lamda lamda nerds…

This is quite a dangerous situation all are moving into. This goes beyond bias blogging and on to Wall Street. When CNBC reports RIM shares falling due to “A Blog sites Report” on Thunder failure, that’s a bit much. Especially where a RIM spokesperson needs to publicly refute the claims by said blog site. I am a HUGE BGR fan, and hope for their sake they where right about the Thunder.
Where did they attack you at CrackBerry? I’ve read both sides of the story and they’ve done nothing to attack you. You’ve just got a bad case of being emo.
How do you even expect this blog to go anywhere BG if you’re going to write about your personal problems. People don’t go news sites to read about a nerds emotional baggage, they come to these sites to hear the latest happenings in the scenes they are interested in.

I can not believe cnbc actually is reporting on a “blog” How out of control has this become? Is the BGR moving RIM’s stock price? I have been reading this blog for a long time and I am a fan of BG. With that being said, I have to disagree with the timing of the original post and then the follow up rant post. Like it or not both posts are being blown way out of proportion – attracting attention to the blog as well as the iphone. No doubt the blog will get many more hits because of this. In the short term this will help web rankings and the ad revenue that supports this site. But I think the bashing in the original post and the arrogance in the rant post will turn off many readers. Also, if the bbry “thunder” does in fact come out in August, or even September, BGR reputation will take a serious hit because of attention this has received. I sincerely hope that the “thunder” comes out in 4-5 months because that will silence the critics and prove the source right. Either way I hope this is the last time there is a post NOT about new tech or new phones.

Giz has learned from a solid source that the upcoming BlackBerry is definitely being called the “Storm” and not the “Thunder” as previously reported—proving that BGR had it all wrong all along. BGR was also incorrect in stating that the release would be delayed.

I hate to burst your bubble BG but I know people who work for AT&T that know the Thunder is definitely coming to their service by the end of the year.
