Are you really serious?

Like, for realz? You’re going after the kid right now? The Bold-breaker? Javelin-leaker? Thunder-scoopster? Kickstart-poster? I’m not even going to get into too many details but I will respond to a couple of the more stupid questions and insinuations posed. First off, you’re saying one of my AT&T sources gave me information on the Thunder, right? Because that makes so much sense. You know, a device which very few people have had access to, being used by someone who works for AT&T. If you haven’t heard by now, it’s coming to Verizon. Idiots. But what about time frame BG? “IT’S COMING OUT IN AUGUST!!!” What did I tell you when I broke the Thunder story? November. What’s 4-5 months from now? November. Oh, ok. Secondly, my source is a source I would trust 100x over almost anybody else. Not going to give too much away to protect him, but let’s say they work for RIM and has helped BGR out a ton in the past. Sorry guys, but we don’t regularly cite commenters as our “high-up sources.” Lastly… the iPhone fanboy accusations. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but 65-70% of our readers are BlackBerry fanatics, and we’re the world-leader in BlackBerry news. I didn’t want to get into this, but if you’d really like to, go add up all your “exclusive” BlackBerry stories and let’s see how many were correct. Then add up mine. Go ring-a-ling that bell somewhere else, because I don’t play games. I bring factual heat.

P.S. Please stop using the term ninja. Ninjas are people who risk their jobs and livelihood for your site and your readers, not people who comment on your blog.

Your ninja is poisoned and the term “bonkers” certainly gives away his location.

I wouldn’t put ANY stock into those weak comments and any real Ninja would know that many devices and many iterations of firmware come during development. To call a device ‘a joke’ based upon that is only thing that is laughable.

Oh God, you’re both reputable sources of information. I hit up both sites as soon as I open my eyes in the morning…and both sites are the last I look at before going to sleep for my whole 3 hrs a night..Seriously bury this crap, it does nothing for either site.

Why not put all the negativity aside and get back to what we do best; speak geek. No matter which site we may frequent, we share the same interests.

Like many of you, I love to visit almost any tech site in existence. Some are now talking about the communities in a negative way. This could lead to unnecessary confrontations.

I can be found at CrackBerry.com, in fact I write reviews for them. I do also love to read the content on BGR, as well as on other sites. We are all on the same team so hug it out already.

Let’s just assume we all know shit about the Thunder, and wait until RIM releases information. Whether the phone is God or Garbage right now, doesn’t make any difference until it’s officially show, released etc

Congratulations BGR, Kevin, and especially BlackBerry. On a day when all of the news should be about the new iPhone 3G, this little flame war–fueled by dueling BlackBerry Ninjas–has managed to capture the attention of numerous smartphone users.

I have no idea if these wildly contradictory stories were planted by BlackBerry, and I’m inclined to doubt it, but honestly, it couldn’t have worked out better. Now everyone who wants an iPhone but isn’t ready to re-up their contract or switch providers will seriously consider the BlackBerry Thunder–a product that has no real forebearer and isn’t even going to be released for a good while yet. RIM couldn’t have asked for better counter-publicity. :D

Funny, each of you views this as a personal affront, when in reality, the only entity that should be upset is Apple.

In an age where phones are converging (Voice, PDA, IM, Internet, Music) and becoming more and more alike (you copied my exchange, you copied my form factor, you copied my styling, etc.), we’re getting more and more polarized over our brand loyalty. Wow, there must be some brand managers really doing a great job out there … guess they came over from Palm. :)

    Hey Boy Genius

I am sure your busier than a one legged man in a ass kicking contest and weren’t really prepared for any backlash from your last Thunder post, but remember (Best Principal from Pretty in Pink movie voice) “you put out vibes you don’t belong people are going to make sure you don’t.”

Ok, really, you make the Blog your Blog doesn’t make you. Don’t let people know they can push your buttons you don’t need that. You always do your best to present the most up to date information and convey it in a style that is exciting to read and for that I salute you.

Last but not least you can’t ask people not to speak about Ninja’s if you speak about Ninja’s its school rules, you know, its like don’t share, if you can share with everyone.

BG, One thing to ponder: While it may “speak volumes” that a RIM employee said that the device wasn’t ready for prime time, the net effect is the same as if he/she said it was better than sliced bread.

The net effect of trying to “steal some thunder” from the iPhone 3G is accomplished. By highlighting the new RIM approach to the keyboard, working good or not, will probably get some big IT guys to hold off on buying large volumes of iPhone 3G and wait to see what the folks from Waterloo finally come up with.

Didn’t someone once say, “it doesn’t matter if it’s good PR or bad, as long as they get your name right”

Let’s get to the bottom line. BGR’s ‘one’ source says the phone sucks and is not working right, right now. Crackberry has at least “three” sources who say its working fine right now. Who is lying and who is telling the truth? Then on top of this, BGR puts a big thumbs down on the Thunder making it seem like it sucks. This together with the fact that BGR has bashed Verizon and CDMA in the past REALLY PISSES ME OFF! I will never forget that he said CDMA was antiquated. This is simply not true and just the opposite.

Alright, dude, settle down. You’re turning a playful post from crackberry into a “who has the biggest blackberry” contest. I get that this is what you spend most of your day doing, but nobody is saying that they don’t appreciate your work but, as you may have heard, different people hold different opinions. As such, the different people talking to different websites may also have different opinions. It’s a startling new fact about the human condition that researchers are only just now coming to understand. So until further developments on the concept of “the facts possibly existing outside of my website”, drink some tea and lay off the Red Bull. Hell, go watch some “Chad Vader” on your iphone. It’ll be ok. Trust me. Just breathe….

matrix2004, you sir are a frikking idiot who does not understand the concept of credibility, perhaps because you are wholly devoid of it.

“Crackberry has at least “three” sources who say its working fine right now. Who is lying and who is telling the truth?”

yeah jackass, thats the way it works. Its 1200A.D and the Earth is flat; all three pig farmers I know said so.

“Then on top of this, BGR puts a big thumbs down on the Thunder making it seem like it sucks.”

The amusing photshop job was probably for all the idiots (ie, matrix2004) that dont bother to read the article and instead just look at pictures and flap their lips.

“This together with the fact that BGR has bashed Verizon and CDMA in the past REALLY PISSES ME OFF!”

I am calling you an idiot. Are you going to cry, and “never forget” about that for the rest of your life too?

“I will never forget that he said CDMA was antiquated. This is simply not true and just the opposite.”

Still waiting for you to back up your flapping with a credible source; maybe start by linking to the story that no one remmerbs but you….

    Im still waitng.

Anyway, I lol’d at the post. and am considering how to hide all user comments.
