Like, for realz? You’re going after the kid right now? The Bold-breaker? Javelin-leaker? Thunder-scoopster? Kickstart-poster? I’m not even going to get into too many details but I will respond to a couple of the more stupid questions and insinuations posed. First off, you’re saying one of my AT&T sources gave me information on the Thunder, right? Because that makes so much sense. You know, a device which very few people have had access to, being used by someone who works for AT&T. If you haven’t heard by now, it’s coming to Verizon. Idiots. But what about time frame BG? “IT’S COMING OUT IN AUGUST!!!” What did I tell you when I broke the Thunder story? November. What’s 4-5 months from now? November. Oh, ok. Secondly, my source is a source I would trust 100x over almost anybody else. Not going to give too much away to protect him, but let’s say they work for RIM and has helped BGR out a ton in the past. Sorry guys, but we don’t regularly cite commenters as our “high-up sources.” Lastly… the iPhone fanboy accusations. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but 65-70% of our readers are BlackBerry fanatics, and we’re the world-leader in BlackBerry news. I didn’t want to get into this, but if you’d really like to, go add up all your “exclusive” BlackBerry stories and let’s see how many were correct. Then add up mine. Go ring-a-ling that bell somewhere else, because I don’t play games. I bring factual heat.
P.S. Please stop using the term ninja. Ninjas are people who risk their jobs and livelihood for your site and your readers, not people who comment on your blog.

Just want to throw out that BGR is the first and only website I’ve RSS’ed because it was consistently linked by other sites as having breakthrough info, not just limited to BB either. Eventually I just decided to come straight to the source. Please keep up what you do BGR.

BGR – if this guy’s a proven source, and you vouch for his credibility and honesty, then that should be good enough for anyone.
But to be fair – the timing of your source’s disclosure (or even just the timing of your post) is a wee bit interesting, no? Just saying.

I would agree with you that the fact that the timing of the info is “interesting”, but come on. We all come to this site for the same reasong… We all want to know about the hottest new phones coming out and we want to know now!!! So maybe the info isn’t in RIM’s favor, oh well.
Trust me, I am no iPhone fanboy by anymeans. My last 2 phones were BlackBerrys and I intend on getting the Bold when it his T-Mobile. My sister has an iPhone and I have used it before. I must say that it’s a great phone and fun to play around with, it’s just not for me and not what I need. Like I said before, everybody has their right to their own opinion and I think you can still be a fanboy of what you want and be honest about the other party… Nothing wrong w/ that at all.
This site is all about getting the info now, right now. Way before it is released and people are walking around with them. If you are going to hate on BG because he’s giving you the info as soon as he get’s it, then just stick w/ CNET and going into your local carrier’s store and ask for their “unbiased opinion”.

I simply will state this
the model i have had in my hands is very real, and didn’t suffer at ALL from the issues you claimed in the past posts. it preformed very well, and worked fine minus some glitches with verizon software. the browser was still the old model, the media player was what we were messing around with, and it is VERY cool.
I don’t know who your source may be, and honestly I don’t care. but it sounds to me that your source may be a happy to get info front liner who is leaking stuff out to feel better about his job that he currently does.
I come to this website(I shoudl say “came” as it is going to the bookmark sumpster now) because of the unique spin you get from being a regular guy in the tech world. it seems that the recent growth of your blog, and the sack ridding of you readers has gone to your head. The only reason you are exclusive” (I use that term loosely) is because people at other sites want more than ONE source, and they don’t just go running around like retards with a Popsicle when they find the cherry flavored one.

I’m with Seabass, I just want to get it on with the Bold. Seems all talk has gone dry on it. All I hear is about the Thunder. I have been with AT&T for 10 years and see any reason to leave them now over the Thunder. Which brings me to the question, with the few glitches I am glad they want to get it right before releasing it. Is there an outside chance they can’t fix it, and there will be no Bold? I have had my 8300 Curve for just over a year and am very happy with it. BUT why do they piece meal features like WiFi, GPS, 3G, and yes I understand about battery issues, then make it a little bigger to accomodate the drain. it isn’t a brick, seems to be a great size. i would gladly give up a little size for more power!! There i have had my say, now I feel better. And BGR, just keep doing what you do, I beleive we, the masses that read your informative blog appreciate your sincere effort. And no BGR is not my kid brother!lol

I noticed they just started getting their own sources for info with the Thunder and Bold accessories, etc. BG won before this NERD fight started.
I understand that being accused of things…in general things may be sometimes aggrevating and hurtful…one of the commentators is right…I do enjoy coming here and reading your news. I don’t particularly care whether it’s 100 % accurate or not. What I care about is that in the ever evoloving world of tech I am one step closer to knowing what is coming, by visiting your site and sites similar to BG. What I don’t appreciate is the fact that you Sir (BG) have used a word ‘idiot’ in relation to your readers. That is a disrespect and does not really speak highly of what you think of your readers. Again I like coming to your site and getting what I want- news, some call it rumors, some call it life, some call it source…whatever it is…it is a source for information. And please don’t think that I take posts of any sort personally I don’t care, I have three Nokia’s and am in love with them and s60 but I also like to hear other news. Readers react and so does BG, we are only human irregardless whether it’s on the net or in real life…same patterns of behavior seem to be present. Best to you BG keep up the good work

I like BGR. I visit every day. And I’m buying an iPhone this Friday, so I am no Apple hater, either.
Just as you suggest we shouldn’t take info at face value when it comes from CNET or a local retailer, I think that when a BGR story has an “odor” to it, however slight, it’s perfectly fair and “in-bounds” to bring it up.

I know one thing, BGR is the Drudge Report of electronics so I don’t even have to know what Kevin or anyone else at suckberry.com have to say. Reading the forums over there is like a bunch of 18 year old girls who are deciding what “plazmic theme” means for their new pearl. It’s definitely not rocket science, nor anything deep regarding blackberrys….the smackdown has been laid down…………

If the predictions of this site were as accurate as you say, I would be holding my black berry bold that was supposed to be released by rogers on June 25th as predicted, not sitting here reading this rant.
Not for nothing, but BG takes himself waaaaay too seriously. I like his site and he has good scoops, but a lot of “scooping” is speculation coupled with rumor topped with hear-say. I don’t know who he works for but if he is an insider of some sort it’s almost a little janky to run out and blog what you know your company is doing, and then pass it off as hard nosed blogging. Why not just post company memos on your site and save the keystrokes?
And also, his pod cast blows. It’s just him yapping to a smoothed out hip hop beat.
