I’ve been using Blue Whale Mail on my dumb Nokia S40. Works pretty good. Used emoze on my E62. Great free alternatives but still not as reliable as my Blackberry.

i tries Emoze for some days on my Nokia N81, it is so lousy i had to remove it, try the nokia new email App, it seems better

I remember trying Emoze….say goodbye to your battery life. I would be down to 1/4 of a battery before 2 on a Treo 700wx using this software. Mostly, it was because it kept a constant (not a heartbeat) connection to their servers. Yes, its fast, but I need battery life more than an extra 2 seconds in push time. I had to go back to ActiveStink before seeing the light and getting a rock solid, reliable, and battery efficient Blackberry.

For this to work properly and sync with your phone, your PC must be on and running a “desktop connector” program. (At least that was the case the last time I looked into this). Probably not a big deal for some, but they never go out of their way to tell you that…
