XBox 360 set to drop to $299?

If you’re one of the 6 folks out there that hasn’t yet taken the plunge on an XBox 360, you might want to wait a week or two before heading to your local retailer. A recently leaked K-Mart ad scheduled to run on the 6th of July depicts an XBox 360 premium being advertised for the low price of $299. This represents a price drop of $50, making it quite the bargain for anyone in the market. As a refresher, the Premium system includes a 20 GB hard drive, a single wireless controller, a wired headset, and component cable. There’s no confirmation from Microsoft, but given the upcoming E3 convention, we’re not at all surprised to see Microsoft making play for more customers.

You could already get a Xbox 360 with like 10 good games on ebay for less than $299 & tons of accessories. Lots of people are getting rid of them, don’t now why, maybe to make some money before it breaks???

I guess I’m one of the 6, and after the price drop, I remain one.

As for the Wii, Wii on them both. I don’t know about all that, because all my Wii does is sit in the corner and turn from white to grayish brown.

250 is over priced for that machine, it does’t do nothing but play games that look the same as they did on the gamecube, but now you can get in “shape” while you play.

This is good news for those still on the fence waiting to get a 2nd console. Bored Wii owners might be tempted enough to see what all the fuss is about with the 360. So many great, great games already available on the 360 with much more yet to come.

I wonder if Sony has the stones to match a 360 price drop with over -3 Billion already lost on the PS3?
