Well not sure if other carriers charge for call forwarding like Sprint. Thats the only thing that is stopping me from getting any sort of visual voicemail service.

Hmmm….for all of you hyping this up, have you downloaded it yet? Tried it? I have. Shame it rarely displays the name of who’s calling. It’s limited the software maker says to what information the caller’s provider is willing to give out. I had several people on different carriers call and guess what? no name. Pretty important unless you want to memorize everyone’s phone number in your entire address book….and mines around 900 by now. Simulsays is really the only decent app for this…

WM5 and WM6 is superior to the trimmed sown OSX mobile that’s running on the iPhone. There isn’t one feature on the iPhone that hasn’t already been out for WM devices. Some people prefer function over form.

SimulScribe/PhoneTag has been doing a great job for me for several months (integrating the visual voicemail with converting voice-to-text). It’s not free, but neither is adding SpinVox to PhoneFusion to try to fit together something comparable.

Considering that push email is the only thing Retards in Motion had going for it, one would have thought those d.bags would have been first to market with it. But no, the long winters in Canada have put their brains into hibernation. They will always chase Apple’s tail.

I did the download yesterday, and it worked fine. I like the service.

One note. I didn’t get an SMS link, just opened the email on my BB and went from there.

It’s worth it once you get it installed.

Bump Or Something.. I too am getting this same error. I have a 7105T (Sad and Depressing I know, May my pearl R.I.P.) Anyone think this could be a side effect of having crappy 4.1 OS?

i can’t get this thing to work on my 7130e on verizon. i get an error when trying to open the application. “Error starting com_phonefusion_voicemailplus_bb_voicemailplus: class ‘javax.microedition.media.protocol.datasource’ not found.

anyone know how to fix this?

I now know why I am not getting the voice mails: I signed up with my gmail address, not my BB one, which I never use….Don’t make this mistake! Still waiting to see if they can switch the email associated w/ the account, since I can’t find a way to do it myself. Not a complaint–my own fault!

called 611 from sprint device and requested conditional call forwarding to be activated, they did so at no cost and it worked.

Sprint users:

Call 611 from your device and ask for “conditional” call forwarding to be set up – they will do it, it’s free and I tested it.

Should note that this was released as a FREE BETA. Their CS and programmers seem quick to respond to the probs that are arising. Working well on all 3 BB and 2 WM devices I have running. if there are issues, submit them to support.phonefusion.com so that anything that they are not working on or have resolved already can be. I was assured that the “link” issue will be resolved entirely by tonight. Also, confident that a big reason why messages haven’t shown up on apps running ok is that the no answer/busy transfer set up throuh carrier takes a bit to kick in on the carrier side sometimes.

I downloaded the program (after they emailed me the link), got my calls conditionally forwarded w/ Verizon, and can see my voicemails on PhoneFusion’s website, but when I open their icon on my phone, there is just their heading (Fusion Voicemail Plus:) but no voicemails, nothing, just black screen where the voicemails should be. Can’t figure out what’s wrong, and no answer from their support yet.

This program works on my 8130 on Verizon… I got a Playback Error Rim.Something.Doesnt.Work.ETc and this was fixed by going into applications permissions advanced and then changing the media access options.

Not sure I can trust a company with handling my voicemails if they can’t even send out sms correctly. Sad to see that I’m not the only one not having this issue.

well, it looks good. I downloaded it. I still haven’t gotten the sms with further instructions. Haven’t been asked for userid/password. So I don’t think it’s fully functional. When I call it, it says this subscriber it not available. I have a business and need personalized ogm. Hopefully it’ll all sort out with this sms I’ve heard so much about!
