iPhone 3G to launch at 8:00 AM on July 11th?

We just got a tip that AT&T store managers received emails stating that the iPhone launch would be at 8:00 AM on July 11th, and not 6:00 PM like last year. Our tipster stated this was 8:00 AM CT, but we’d guess if 8:00 AM was indeed the launch time, it would be 8:00 AM local time just like last year. We’re working to confirm this and the post will be updated when we do.

Hey Blackberry fan boys… your little Bold is delayed until mid-august, so much for today as the release date! That’s great marketing RIMM, say it may be announced on the 26th, then on the 26th announce it won’t be out until MID AUGUST! That is going to do wonders for BB stock price. iPhone 3G FTW!

@bob, RIM never officially announced a release date for the Bold. All of the dates you read were just rumored release dates. How can something that isn’t officially given a release date be “delayed” So HAH! Retarded apple user. And if eJay concurs with bob, then that makes a pair. Weee!

To the person above who states the AT&T stores don’t open until 9 am and why would they open early, I have one thing to say, you are a moron! Do you not know that the day of a big realease of any kind most stores would open early??? Of course they are opening early, instore activation will take a short time longer than last years purchases.

So, I see we are all arguing about phones again… That’s weird! Anywho, I’m not going to argue about who’s retarded about having any certain brand of products because when it comes down to it…. There are people who want/need the newest thing out to feel good, there are people who like how an individual OS works and feels to them and also people will always try to find reasons to confirm they are right about a given topic. I personally will try to get the new iPhone but because getting apps for my Pearl on a MacBook is too much of a pain and there may be an easy way but I’m tired of the ball personally, I’m ready to move to a phone that fits me better. BB and iphone owners alike, they are just phones it’s not worth the fight.
