Sprint’s Samsung Instinct is $129, on sale now
Yeah, you read that one correctly. The Grocery Outlet of the cellular world, Sprint, has finally come out with the Samsung Instinct at the low price of $129 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail in rebate. This is $70 less than the initial price of $199, which was announced only a little over a week ago. iPhone 3G ripple effect, anyone? Regardless of the reason, this is certainly good news for consumers hoping to grab a touchscreen device compatible with Sprint’s network. We’ll refrain from passing judgement on the handset until we get our hands on one, but $129 for an EV-DO Rev. A, GPS, A2DP, and SprintTV-equipped device ain’t bad at all.

Dude, this is on paper a pretty nice phone but between the network and the name Sprint it simply won’t do too well which is unfortunate for Samsung and Sprint; who themselves may not be around another year in their current form. Needless to say if they think this thing is any kind of iPhone killer they must be joking! An has anyone seen their iphone comparisons on their website? They are comparing this thing to the 1st generation iPhone, not the one coming out on July 11th. An what’s worse is that most people don’t actually understand that its the software that runs on the iPhone that makes it the bomb and between Safari, its media functionality, Maps, and that fully customizable address book there is no comparison, and these are things that one must have and use everyday to really be able to appreciate.

I got my instinct last night and this phone is great. Iphone is still king of the crop but I give the instinct 2nd place which is good for a sprint phone. Rev a is awsome.

wow. you should have seen the lines at the sprint store this morning…..HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHA
What a feeble attempt. They are doomed.

If you want full featured phones, you gotta look elsewhere and not at Tmobile. They’re sastisfied with the Wing as their flagship phone.
Just jumpship elsewhere.

Sprint may be doomed, but this is a pretty cool device.
I can only hope that the Dare will be close to as good as this one.

Instinct Is Sold Out…. No More Till Monday

I did a plan comparison with Sprint and ATT. For what I use ATT will be almost twice the price monthly vs Sprint. Coverage is excellent for where I go. BUT, finally after many years (10) on Sprint I had my first horrible experience with customer service. If they manage to fix CS then they might be around. If not, we will just have to wait and see.

why would I want this phone and tell the world that I am too cheap to pay for AT&T service?

So does this device have the fastest wireless internet through sprint than any other device in US. meaning is sprint rev A faster than AT&T HSPA, please show link to accredited website.

@ Charlie.
If AT&T works well in your area that is great. There are areas where AT&T has crappy service. You always go with the service that works best for you. If you want to pay more just to pay more…go for it!

With the price of gas the object is to pay as little as possible for the most you can get, whoever can be silly and spend money on a name and get less products and in some cases coverage (data or voice, in more places than others both) if that person wants
