T-Mobile makes Sidekick LX update official
Doubt us? Never. That Sidekick LX update we told you about yesterday has just been made official. T-Mobile made the announcement today, promising a host of upgrades to existing LX users. The new OTA refresh will start making the rounds this week, with video recording, play and share capabilities, an alarm clock, stereo Bluetooth support and Bluetooth file transfer support all making the cut. As with all Sidekick updates, this will be a phased rollout, so don’t get too upset if this doesn’t hit your handset immediately. Patience, dear readers. Patience.

Hmmm..Aug. 2nd..6:49 pm..still no update..WTF????..now, im getting restless..first they said the update was gonna come Jun 25th, then July 15th, then Aug 1st…this shit is bullshit..

I am temporarily living in a area where T-mobile is not anywhere to be found! Soo my LX is picking up AT&T service. I need to be in T-mobile areas don’t I?? for the OTA. Someone please help me out….cause I really want that damn OTA.
Just got the new ota update for my sidekick lx …im likeing the new features im able to do with this new update dat..I only expected for the SK to support video we’ll now it does…and my connectivity is acually better

The updates that’s are due for sklx should have been put it as standard features before the phone was put on the market. I’ve used sidekick since the first generation becuase it was always ahead of time, convinient, and easy to use however the new sidekick are outdated and over priced. The reason I bought the sidekick lx with the research was because my sidekick3 fell apart and I was going through what my friends and I call the withdraw period. = ) and I expected better. But all I got was a outdated phone with a out dated program in a new package. I felt cheated because I know there are phones selling in the market which are better and cheaper than the sidekick lx. The guys and danger realzied they had a problem and are finally deciding to something about it. I bet the market sells show after verizon and atnt releases their power phones. Even with t mobile the blackberry seems to be the better seller. Danger should of released these updates sooner and should send it faster to exsisting users if it doesn’t want to be forgotten forever. And even after the upgrades there are other upgrade that are still needed but the guys and sharp and danger are going to smart enough to keep the sidekick lagacy alive.
well does anyone know, since the LX got the bluetooth update to transfer files, if the slide is getting the update as well? If so, when is it going to happen?
i have had my sidekick lx for 2 months now and i havent recieved the update and my friend got it 2 weeks ago and she got the update before me…??? whats up with that????? >:(

I GO T THE UPDATE! I GOT THE UPDATE! ITS Pretty nice. It just made the sidekick 10 times better. Now I would prolly just upgrade to the new SIDEKICK Gekko.
NOW TO EVERYONE WHO ASKED. NO THE SLIDE WILL NOT GET THE UPGRADE. SORRY GUYS. ONLYTHE LX WILL GET IT.
