T-Mobile makes Sidekick LX update official
Doubt us? Never. That Sidekick LX update we told you about yesterday has just been made official. T-Mobile made the announcement today, promising a host of upgrades to existing LX users. The new OTA refresh will start making the rounds this week, with video recording, play and share capabilities, an alarm clock, stereo Bluetooth support and Bluetooth file transfer support all making the cut. As with all Sidekick updates, this will be a phased rollout, so don’t get too upset if this doesn’t hit your handset immediately. Patience, dear readers. Patience.
How will you know when your handset has recieved the update? How do you install or initiate it? Please let me know if this info is available somewhere.
I called 411 yesterday cuz of trouble with my LX and asked bout the OTA. He told me that they were randomly being sent from now untill July 15th so u all should be getting it soon. Patience.
I think that this whole update thing is a hoax or sumthing cuz everyone I no that has a sidekick LX has not received this update. I think they just said it to get people to stop complaining about certain things.

ok its tha 4th now so wheres tha updated. ive been waitin for tha past 4 days & still nuthin. i mean really does it take this long to put sumthin in circulation through tha network to kick in. but being tha person i am i will continue to wait.
I just heard about this update and I think its great. I’ve always said that if the lx could record vids play youtube vids it would be the perfect phone for me… I’m looking forward to its perfection
Wow still no update lol I have the lx and I just heard about it today..sound preety kool. U can play youtube….oh man if that’s the case this phone will own all phones out there. But hey im still not 100% sure its coming…or maybe like all good things in this world there will be a delay…whatever im not stressin it I just hope it comes soon! July7th…..

I heard about this update through a friend of mine and had to see if it was true. All I heard was that we were gonna be getting video.. BUT ACTUAL BLUETOOTH CAPABILITIES, TOO!?
What’s funny.. Is I bought a Pearl two nights before I heard about this.. Looks like that bad boy is gonna be gettin’ sent back. Huzzah for LX’s! FINALLY something that’ll at least make make them a little more comparable to every other new phone coming out.

I found out about this on July 8th when T-Mobile sent me a text message saying SK fans grab a Tony Hawk LE w/video. And they said for more info go to sidekick.com. So when I went online, I also found articles saying that there’s going to be updates for existing LX customers too. I’m excited and patiently waiting. But I also found out it started on June 25. But hey, I guess its worth the wait

You guys are so impatient. Why can’t you just wait? It’s only a 20 second video anyway. A lot of people already got the update, and for the rest.. it would take time. But just be patient. T-Mobile is working on it, okay?
Man this sucks….I’ve been waiting forever for this update and im so effin inpatient and it just needs to come on by now. well tmobile told me that they aren’t issuing out the updates that danger is out they r being issued out randomly so their system doesn’t crash. So i guess all i can say is be patient and i was told that everyone should have the update by the end of this month.
soo…my friend just got the update today and I am sooo jealous!! I guess only a couple people r gettn it not everyone!… wudd any pro’s know a trick to gettn the update holler at ya girl!

look every1 if like 4000 people got it yesterday like in a hour were all gonna get it dont you c peop[le already saying i got the update i got ok i spoke 2 t-mobile like 10,000 times and i started complaining but the thing is that the satilite the erea u mabe hasent got the update becuz the wirless and ur phone is still loading the update so before the agust 1 the update is goona popout in ur screen so dont worry
