T-Mobile makes Sidekick LX update official
Doubt us? Never. That Sidekick LX update we told you about yesterday has just been made official. T-Mobile made the announcement today, promising a host of upgrades to existing LX users. The new OTA refresh will start making the rounds this week, with video recording, play and share capabilities, an alarm clock, stereo Bluetooth support and Bluetooth file transfer support all making the cut. As with all Sidekick updates, this will be a phased rollout, so don’t get too upset if this doesn’t hit your handset immediately. Patience, dear readers. Patience.

Kool. but im sorta bored with the Lx news now. Im excited 4 the gekko though!!
This news makes me wonder if that June 25th date was more along the lines of when T-Mo expects the bulk of LX users to have the update. I’m just happy the update will hit before the Tony Hawk edition or the the Gekko get here. Why should they have all the fun first?

No the sk3 will have no effect to this OTA. They will not be reciving this or any more OTA. I’m pretty sure the sk3 is done with updates as there is a successor. The firmware update was most likey the last sk3 OTA.

As far as im concerned, this ota doesn’t even seem adequate for the amount of money im putting down the drain for this thing… All these other phones that can stream songs and stream video and dwnld their own ringtones are becoming so common among the average consumer demographic, it is a slap in the face to sk users. Tmobile has us on a tight leash, I heard the update isn’t even that great considering what they could’ve given us.
Now I’m thrilled to know that they are dishing out the update, now my main concern is, how will it affect the battery life, as is the battery life isn’t something to really gloat about.
