Comments on: Sprint offers new unlimited options for Shared plans

This still does no good for someone planning to have one “everything” requiring phone and one standard phone (for the missus).

I talked with Sprint last Thursday about getting the Instinct and was promised these new plans would fix the issue. The issue being, $99 for an everything plan plus an extra line base cost of $40. The “fix” dropped the price from $140/mo to $130 ($129 for shared everything, despite the fact that I won’t be sharing everything, just voice).

Very disappointed and am now reconsidering the idea of buying the Instinct.

so because the network is so weak you have to use your own wifi and still burn mins, thats a deal? I think not…. I use to have tmo, so i know 1st hand about lack of coverage and slow edge service. But back to the subject at hand, sprint is doing a lot better in all departments. They have been listening and changing! this summer will be great for cell phones!!!!!

Iam sorry I know its not a tmo post but to many people are misinformed what hotspot@home is. It’s not a scam the only requirement is a uma phone and anytype of voice plan and infact even prepaid account can make UMA calls. I have said this too many times to count but here I go for the ententh time. There is no additional cost to us hotspot@home it will deduct you minutes the same as if you were using tmos network. The bennifit of UMA is to subplement your coverage were coverage is lacking plus with the optional unlimited feature you can make unlimited UMA for $10.

my iphone yesterday all of sudden would not turn on. I take it to the at&t store they say they can’t help me go to apple. I go to apple they say they I have to buy a new one. Im done with at&t. Sprint I will give a try. Instinct mogul or curve.

Yes I already did this past week. I left at&t and I can honestly say that I’m not going back even though I had the iPhone and even though the iPhone 2 is coming out soon I still don’t see the need to go back to at&t unless they make an all inclusive unlimited plan like Sprint’s that includes data. But for now, I’m with Sprint and I’ll get the Instinct.

Tmobz is the worst carrier of all in the us they have the worst coverage of anybody who else charges you to use your phone at home and disguise it at a deal (hotspot@home)

To clarify, these plans were on the books before T-Mobile announced theirs (not that it matters, but wanted to clarify that this isn’t as reactionary as it seems), and they are a supplement to the Simply Everything Plan. The internal explanation is to “Simplify” (get it?) the pricing structure (which it does) and to correct some important deficiencies in the plans/pricing on Sprint vs. the Nextel side, such as additional lines costing $20 on Nextel vs. $10 on Sprint.

The other piece is that with the Instinct requiring a simply everything plan, there was a lack of options for situations where unlimited voice wasn’t needed for every family member on a family plan. My suspicion is that although Simply E. is a great plan, sprint didn’t want to discourage existing customers from upgrading to what is honestly one of the best phones to grace the carrier’s lineup based on incompatibility with a family plan.

Sprint will win customers back with this, but they need a very good phone and great press!!! They should have got an exclusive that is worth something….the bold or thunder!! even the HTCs’ coming out

Actually lines 1 and 2 are included and 3 thru 5 are $20, the dataless plans are $10. Sprint’s unlimited plans are the best out, if not in a 3g network area then T Mo is better

you already did this story on monday. and they do offer unlimited minute share plans, each line gets an incremental $5 discount. the price is not nearly as good as the tmo plan, but then again you dont get extra features like data and navigation with tmobile either
