mobile-review is reporting 375 euros, or about $600 before operator subsidy. There is a very slim chance we’ll see AT&T offer the phone. As in slim to none….

These are the best 2 conventional (non-touch) phones coming out this year. The E-series walks all over the N-series.

Anyhow, for those who already own an E65 -like me- ask yourselves: Is the video call really worth upgrading?

As for those who own the very wide E61i…. just upgrade. The E71 is a huge improvement inside and out.

Actually, unlimited data on AT&T is $25, PLUS you have to get a SMS package (which wasn’t included on the iphone package). That’s another $5.

So I’m paying the same amount per month to AT&T, whether I have my e61, an unlocked e71, or an iphone 3G. That is where I am right now.

(you may have to buy a SMS package with an iphone 3g, it isn’t clear. That would add $5 a month to AT&T)

Then factor in that a unlocked e71 is probably going to be well north of $500.

Even an e71 (if they come to AT&T) is going to be at least $200.

so the math is, iphone wins. sorry. nokia is wiped out.

@ Charlie. Lets see….iPhone 3G is $199, but now you have to pay $30/month for unlimited data instead of the $20/month for any other phone. $10/month more you have to pay on a new 2 year (24 months) contract. 24 months x $10 = $240. $240 + $199 = $439 for the 8gb model of the iPhone 2. Do the Math!

So, the E71 is not coming until next week, and it probably won’t be available to consumers until August.

And the Iphone 3G is coming at $200 in mid-July.

good-bye Nokia. You just lost the north american smartphone market, like, forever.

As a loyal e61 owner, I want the e71. But unless it comes at $150 or less (and yes, I’ll take the 2 year contract) I’m getting the iphone.

Still curious to know where is the loudspeaker located? Didn’t notice it in any of the photos.

Top center, would be ideal placement for a mono speaker.
