BlackBerry Thunder live shot, damn we’re good!

You all know the Thunder right? Well, looky looky who got a cookie. Yeah peoples, live shot of the BlackBerry Thunder right here. By just looking at the photo, we can see that almost every button on a traditional BlackBerry like the convenience keys are still there. Like we reported, there are only four physical buttons on the front and a large touch-screen. It is also coming to Verizon. Take a look at a larger shot after the jump and stay tuned for more information on it soon. Wow, we were almost spot on with our mock-up

Well if they couldnt hear the fact that verizon has the best customer service, and the least amount of dropped calls, and dont mention their cash transaction with alltel that makes them number one/ Well if you lacked any inability to hear Verizon, listen a little closer i hear thunder, att watch its coming for u!

After first coming across the LG Dare earlier today and thinking that was the phone I wanted, I’m glad I came across the Blackberry Thunder on the Dare posts. I don’t want to read through pages of previous posts on the Thunder as I found with Dare posts on other sites did nothing but bash a phone almost no one had in hand. What I would say is that I have seen a lot of die-hard Blackberry users say they want a keyboard on the Thunder and by not including it, RIM has ruined the phone. I suggest looking at the Thunder as part of the Blackberry line which is trying to market to a separate and new demographic. Maybe this particular interface isn’t for you – there are other Blackberries. Personally I want the email and attachment capabilities of a Blackberry mixed with the sleek design styling and media capabilities of the iPhone. Not every ‘business’ person works on Wall street and wears a suit. Some of us work with bands, promote music, design etc. But that’s just my take.

I got to get this. But my only issue is picture messages. I luv my 8830 but first it is a phone 80% of people I know sent pix messages. Going online is a hassle for messages & you don’t know who sent it.

All that I have to say is that the folks @ RIMM had better make an OFFICIAL announcement within DAYS! An announcement after July 11 (iPhone 3G release) will be IDIOTIC! RIMM will lose thousands of current and potential customers who WILL buy the iPhone, that is UNLESS this Thunder is released SOON! Clearly, the Thunder is a superior device, but enough of this rumor crap! I would MUCH rather have BB Thunder, but I WILL NOT wait till Sept or Oct for the device. PLEASE, AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT WOULD BE NICE!

Will VZW disable GPS except for those who want to pay for monthly Navigator service? That was an unpleasant surprise to discover after I got my 8830 WE. Salesperson didn’t mention this when I asked about GPS capabilities.

Look here’s the scoop people, have done tons and tons of research on this…Verizon’s (and Sprint’s) are the fastest network(s)–cdma. (like waaaay faster than any gsm carrier, and that includes their ‘3g’). BUT Sprint is the BOTTOM of the barrel when it comes to customer service, absolutely terrible, unless you like holding from morning thru lunchtime. had ATT for a week, cs ah-sssucked. Tmo has no coverage. (in most places, this doesn’t apply to those who live right under a tower, before you start flaming me). So that leaves Verizon (not even going to bring up a wanna-be like alltel) Verizon, might not have the best phone’s (but, hey, looky now, seems they will), however they actually work with customers and solve problems. They answer the phone within a couple minutes (usually within 10 seconds), and are cool on the phone. almost always give a credit (if you’re not an ass to them, but even then they probably will. if not, call back 5 minutes later, hehe), and they don’t outsource to india either–you actually talk to people in America! So they pretty much rock the customer service (they are still #1 there) and of course cell phone coverage nationwide. (and their phones do work overseas, and cdma is expanding rapidly because it is far superior to gsm.) And their commercials don’t have Barkley at his worst. So basically all cell phone companies suck, but having been with a few of them, and talking to close friends/family with the others, Verizon pretty much sucks MASSIVELY LESS than the others. (i guess i’m just still happy from my $100 credit they gave me today, for a billing change that was really entirely my fault.) And no i don’t work for verizon, i’d never work in that god-forsaken industry.

There customer service is excellent i do not have any problem with coverage and as for disabled features the 8830 8130 and 8330 the gps feature works perfectly and is not disabled like the 8100 from AT&T which is locked most of there current phone line up support most if not all features. There data rates come in second in overall tests where at&t is #1 and sprint is #3 so I would say they have come a long way in the last year.

Most phones VZW gets, usually another model of the same phone is released to Sprint. I would not be surprised if 4 months after their release another version of thunder will be on Sprint.

I am really looking forward to the new blackberry. It just sucks for me that Verizon will get it first (I’ve been with Tmobile too long to switch and their customer service is the best in the business!). I got my first blackberry about 2 years ago and I don’t want to switch to another cellphone brand. I’m undecided on the Thunder or the Bold, though. Please let me know when you have either unlocked for Tmobile, I’m sure I’ll be interested…

It will most likely not be going to at&t of tmob for awhile. It went to verizon 1st because they actually got offered the iphone from apple before at&t, but declined it due to the fact that all customer support is through apple. So this is the next best thing for verizon. :) Cant wait to see how it does!

You know…. I laugh when I read most of these comments posted. Not at what is said but at what the person who posted them was thinking when they did it.

I mean seriously … no matter what personal opinions we may have. Nothing can change what the customers feed back and 3rd party companies like Consumer Reports and JD power and Assc. say.. and thats simply the truth … Verizon Wireless is the Best in the USA. in Coverage, network reliability, 3g speeds and tied with Tmobile in customer satisfaction.

You can’t compare VZW to what it was a few years back to what it is today and whats its focus is on. I can tell you that it takes a lil to weed out the bad employees… really it does.. but I can assure you that VZW is cleaning house. As far as its products … Man .. I cant even give you a peak .. cause it would ruin it …

The company is on a mission that I truly believe no other carrier will be able to compete with. There is no structure in ANY other carrier that can compare to what VZW is today.

For all those people complaining about how VZW has the devices designed so that they can only run on their network …. well what else did you think ??? its a wireless company.. it makes its money from selling a wireless service!! no wonder No other carrier can afford to invest so much into there networks and can afford to make one of the biggest purchases of airwaves ( C block auction ). All for what??? to better provide there customers with the wireless technology we have been waiting for here in the USA where contries like Japan already have. The future is here people and VZW has it. VZW was at least 3 to 5 years ahead of everyone else in network Capacity and evolution .. This has now put them way beyond that.

Educate yourself b4 speaking. I’m out haters!
