It’s 95 degrees and I’m hot: the semi-rant about Apple
So, look. It’s blistering hot outside in the city, and I’d like to take the time in-between my ice baths to tell y’all something that’s been on my mind. You might have checked out some of the “leaked” 3G iPhone pictures that were out the last day or so. Are they real? Probably not. But here’s my point…Everyone is so certain that because the pictures are still online, the phone is fake. Because, you know, Apple legal would be on that like a German Shepherd on a Shih Tzu. Don’t ask, I just looked outside my window. But, that’s not obviously true. Steve doesn’t want his thunder stolen on Monday, and if Apple legal is demanding the pictures to be taken down, surely we’d know they were real. So, assuming the pictures are real, don’t expect to see them taken down anytime soon. And if they’re real, Apple leaves them up so you think they are fake. Get it? But this is all for nothing because the pictures probably aren’t real. Back to my ice bath.

i love the apple rant. made my saturday work day.
p.s
the blackberry is the best.

Nice usage of the colon. I learned how to write titles in that format; it is nice to see that someone knows the conventions of the english language (just took an english course). Yes it is hot in NYC, as I sit in my air conditioned space typing on the macbook. Good points about apple. I think that the video conferencing picture is very believable. One reason why it is real: that is the camera they use in the notebooks. Apple doesn’t use any circular video cameras; which has been repeatedly depicted in all the other pictures. We’ll see on monday!

Hey Gal, ever think that your just used to the heat??
I live in Washington State, and have my entire life, I know what hot is here and what is not hot here. To us, 95 degrees with the humidity we get in Washington, is killer. But then again, if we had somebody here from the Amazon Jungle, it’d probably just be another day for them.
Point of the story is:
The fact is not so much as how hot it is, as opposed to how hot it is compared to normal.

forgot to mention….sorry about the Macbook Air….it’s not Apple’s fault…you were not operating the Air under proper operating conditions…. (noncondensing, lower humidity)
again…sorry

The point is that Apple, trying to keep people off their trail and keep the Steve-note full of surprises, will leave the “real” pictures up so everyone thinks they’re fake. If Apple Legal goes out and tells them to take the pictures down, everyone will say they were real and the true pictures.
I know…it’s confusing.

Ah, of course, the dreaded “double fake out”.
Wait, one thing to rule them all? — the EGO of the megalomaniac in Cupertino.
There is no double-fake-out. BGR headquarters clearly needs air conditioning…
