Flickr upload comes to BlackBerry

Looking for a way to instantaneously upload shots from your BlackBerry smartphone to your Flickr account? You’re in luck. Flickr and RIM have joined forces to bring ‘Berry users a native uploading client. Available right now from the BlackBerry mobile startpage, the software if installable on any BlackBerry with a camera, OS 4.2 or higher, and 65kb on free memory. There’s nothing too fancy here, but the program does allow you to tag the shots directly on your device before sending them to your account. Simple software that should appease a legion of Flickr users out there.

Been using email to upload to flickr for quite a while and also been posting to my blog via flickr. Be interested if this is any easier (batch upload)?.

Well, this ties directly into the BB’s camera app, eliminating one step from sending the picture.

Just as netposter said, I have been using email for quite sometime, was always pretty easy. This almost seems like extra steps,, we shall see

I have been using the itookthisonmyphone dot com app, I like it being 100% automatic. The Flikr app requires me to wait while it uploads, a PITA. I was taking some storm damage shots this morning, knew all 6 shots I wanted to take however had to keep waiting for the phone to upload the last shot I took.
