BlackBerry Thunder 9500 live shot?

We’re so confused…Engadget picked up this photo from HorizonWireless and they claim it to be a picture of the BlackBerry Thunder. Ah, come on, guys, you don’t remember the Thunder? In all seriousness, we’re just not sure about the legitimacy surrounding the above photo snap. It does look like our render, though, just as it was described to us. Thoughts?
UPDATE: We’ve been told the photo above is actually real, except it’s just the housing for the unit…

I am sorry but what
Respectable company would release such a horrible picture? That’s completely unprofessional.
BGR, did your sources relay to you if the unit had a slide out keyboard or was completely touchscreen?
SO BG! WHO IS THIS DEVICE FOR? VERIZON OR ATT? LETS SEE IF YOU STILL HAVE YOUR STUFF….
The device has already been announced for Verizon and Vodaphone, nothing more to that question…lol
ok mr smarty ! show me where besides rumors! also announced that the 9000 was a touch screen ! oh there goes that ..lol
There will be a proper image of the “Thunder” out within the next two weeks. Will be back to let you know when it’s up.
what carrier ? verizon
Looks like this could be legit. But Mr.Blurry Cam is always a bitch to leaked photos.
@CarBob
The RIM ninjas comment gives credability to the picture wether it just be the housing or not…RIM asked for it to be removed, would they do that if it wasn’t real in the first place?
If that was the case BGR would be asked to remove all his previous pics of photchopped devices, all pics get requested to be removed by the original source, anyone else who picks up the pic gets left alone and not requested to remove the pics (in most cases)..RIM unleashed thier ninjas on this one quicktime, but what’s done is done and it’s still just a damn blurry pic anyways lol!!
The gap doesnt suggest a slider to me. We know that this picture is of the outer case only. What is missing, that could explain the gap, is the side metal pieces that RIM has been putting on the blackberrys recently. This outer casing is merely missing the side metal covers.
Oh and Galvatron, shut up!
I am just glad to see that this blackberry might actually have a black case, unlike the past few models on VZW that have been either silver, red, or pink.
You’re straight slippin’ boo!
Could it be this thing?
