Dell Latitude 2008-2009 roadmap

We just got a hold of Dell’s 2008-2009 Latitude notebook roadmap, and there’s some pretty interesting stuff in here! Some of the laptops contained in our slides have been seen before, but it’s always nice to see the release dates for upcoming models. In the roadmap are the following Dell computers: E4300, E4200, XT2, E6500, E6400, E6400 ATG, E5500, E5500a, E5400, E5400a. Check out some of the shots from the presentation in our gallery!

Obviously you didn’t see their earnings report today. Michael Dell’s turnaround efforts are finally bearing fruit.

Dell is hurting. Sure, earnings looked decent, but they are also gaining the reputation of a churn and burn company. Not many want to work there these days, and those that do are looking for parachutes. Round Rock isn’t what it used to be. What a shame.

As for the notebooks, those aren’t the same either. I wouldn’t touch one. HP and ThinkPads for me. Better yet, a MacBook Pro with Boot Camp and Fusion is good by me.

It’s a shame about Dell though…just not interested in them like I once was. The product line isn’t anything to get excited over.

I think what will happen in the future is that the majority of people will have a mini style laptop, which they might take with them throughout the day, but at night or when they’re at home, they’ll use the desktop/wii/ps3/xbox etc to play games, music, youtube/ movies ETC…

Doesn’t that make sense though? I guarantee 5 years from now there’s no market for DVDs except for collecters ha
