Dumb iPhone rumor…
Ok, so we got an email late last night that said, “The apple 5th avenue store is closing tommorow from 1pm-9am which is the longest closing of the store in history, The Iphone is being released Friday May 30th at 9am and is being announced at the 5th avenue store at that time, when alerted of the event we were told that we must be held to strict confidentiality, this directly explains the depleted stock that has taken the US by storm. Do not regard this as fake information, and please keep my email address confidential I only share this information because i love your blog and feel that yours would be the best to release the information on, I am highly regarded in the corporation and cannot afford to lose my job.”
As you can see, we didn’t really take this seriously. One has to wonder though, with the 5th Ave Apple store actually being closed right now, does it give this tip some credibility? We can’t imagine an iPhone being released tomorrow without hearing anything more, but we figured we’d post this for informational purposes. Thoughts?

I’ve never understood why anyone would hate on a device that they could just as easily ignore. I’m not an apple fanboy, but hell i’m not a nokia, samsung, LG, SE or HTC fanboy. Hating has reached an new plateau since this damn Iphone came out…

I personally enjoy using the OSX operating system as well as XP(havn’t tried Vista so im not going there). Apple creates some beautiful products that do the task they were designed for excellently. Why can’t you just respect people for applauding that type of company and therefore getting excited about a new product release?
Why do all iphone junkies sound like cult people? Its scary…will you guys lock yourselves up in a cave with iphones and drink koolaid on the day the iphone goes out of business? Very odd behavior. I own a mac and I love mac but give me a break you mac cult members are dorks.

Wouldn’t that also mean that they use Linux for their MSN emails too? It’s hard to imagine that Microsoft would use Linux over their own servers. Where did you find that info?
Well then I suggest getting less clumsy. That being said, the iPhone is a tougher device than most out there with its metalic body. The glass on there is pretty thick and doesn’t shatter as easy as you think. Well, if it goes face down on a rock it will shatter. I have dropped mine face down on the glass from around 5 feet, and it only got a little scratch. There are also numerous drop tests of the iPhone on the net. That device is sturdy. Only people that don’t have an iPhone would say it is fragile.

AT&T REP JUST told iphone 2 is droppin in 3 weeks. He kept on bragging to get the new iphone that coming he was a huge fanboy. He made fun of me because i told him i had an i phone i sent it in 5 times to get fixed. my experience with apple has been great. i wont be another apple product that starts with i and ends with phone. im strictly wait for the new black berry bold to launch.
Also, my late uncle was the minister of finance in the African country of Zambia. Ater he died all knowledge of the whereabouts of a sum of 6 million USD vanished with him. However, I know where the money is and will be pleased to share a portion with you if you provide all your banking information to me so I may wire the funds. After the transaction we can meet at the front doors of the 5th Avenue Apple store in the middle of the launch for the Iphone 2 where we can hug and buy Iphone2s for all the people in line with our new found wealth.

Stop with apple rumours already. Only 5% of them are ever true and they get old fast. There are plenty of foreign carriers you have insider access to, and chances are that one of them is doing something a lot more interesting than filming a cable tv ad. Sheesh.
And as an afterthought, there are plenty of mainstream gsm phones that are sturdier than the iphone. My freind has had an iphone 5 months and the screen is cracked and washed out. The treo 650 I bought off the guy has been swimming twice, fallen a total of 300 feet and all it needed was a 10 minute/15 dollar housing replacement to function as my day-to-day phone. I’d like to see those handy things they call screws holding the iphone together instead of adhesives and seals.
