Sprint’s new Sanyo Pro 200 and Pro 700
When it rains Sanyo handsets, it pours. Not content with releasing just one, Sprint is preparing two new handsets for an upcoming June 15th launch. First out of the gate is the Sanyo Pro 200, which sports QChat support, EV-DO Rev. A, and a black and white display. Nothing insane here, but with a suggested retail price of $249.99, and a street price that will certainly slot in much lower, we’re guessing this could be a hit with enterprise customers. Next up is the Sanyo Pro 700, which also sports EV-DO Rev. A, a black and white display, and QChat support. Additionally, the Pro 700 has internal GPS, which allows for Sprint Navigator integration. Expect this one to launch with a $279.99 retail tag. Both handsets should hit the streets on the 15th of June. A couple more shots after the jump!
Thanks, Omie!

I may get this to replace my Motorola Star Tac…
NO REV A means no phone in my area ! I don’t think affiliate markets are going to carry these.
Does this site know anything about the Pro 800 and 900 that showed up when these were spied a year or 2 ago, the 800 was like the M1 and the 900 was like the Sidekick
I’m am a big Sanyo fan but was hoping something great like the 5400, 5600, 9000 and M1. What the problem is?
They both have internal GPS. Same phone, different form factor.
I bought one of these from Sprint a week ago. Great phone but couldn’t get the Direct connect to work. After countless hours online with Nextel support they finally told me the phone wasn’t supported in my area for DC. Is this true or do they just not know how to hook up their new phone correctly. Any ideas??
After months of anticipation, my local Sprint store finally got one for me. Took a couple of hours to get it set up and working, but it works ok now. Two disappointments: First, the speaker phone is crackly and doesn’t sound good. My old Motorola i730 had a great speaker. I could set it on the table and just have a conversation with someone.
Second, it’s not living up to its advertised five-hour talk time on the battery. I did a 90-minute call starting with a fully charged battery and the battery was finished. It also died after a 30-minute GPS trip.
On the positive side, it handles data quickly and without problems.
I’d consider turning it in, but there’s nothing else out there that really does what I want.
jst trying something out
