    This looks like a VERY high margin phone for RIM…

    I hate to point out the obvious, but with a nme like “Kickstart” they clearly will be marketing this phone to the young, urban demo (ala Sidekick)…I wonder what loud, over the top hiphop artist they’ll exploit to sell this cheap piece of garbage…

    I hope the kill this thing in the Conceptual stages. After releasing the Bold and later on The Thunder, they can’t be serious with this. Maybe it’s a BB for kids or house wives.

    High-margin? Since when did more molds to build, more parts to produce and more off-the-shelf parts to employ compared to those making up any other RIM phone equate to ‘high margin’? Something tells me you don’t have the first bit of familiarity with manufacturing.

    I dont know who is still buying flip phones but there must be a market for em….(i guess). So if RIM wants to try and grab a lil bit of that action 5yrs. too late who am i to argue. Think about it if someone is gonna spend money on a new razr why not a kickstart. it is a BB so it should work better anyways.
