Not much to say about this one, but we thought you’d like to see the BlackBerry Kickstart in a different color, live and in the flesh. Comments?

The placement of the send/end buttons and the menu/escape button should be swapped.

Interesting, but for a flip phone it should still be much smaller. I’m more interested in the touchscreen BB for vzw.

Because some people WANT a flip phone and RIM has none to offer.

jolt: No matter what your GF tells you, your little Pearl can NEVER provide the same satisfaction as an 8″ long, darkly colored device can…

Is the SureType keyboard the same size as the Pearl’s? Without doing a side-by-side, the Flip’s appears smaller. Otherwise, the button orientation looks good and clean. Negro looks much better than “Putty Gray”.
Any info on SPECS???

Absolutely hideous machinery there. When is rim going to wake up and make a touch pad instead of the ball? After this weekend’s fiasco with my trackball I will not buy another blackberry until they get a different input method other than that devil-filled trackball……

Better background than that Men’s Room floor.

I agree. I had the Curve and the trackball is like trying to ice skate with only one leg through a narrow straight. While do-able,it’s not fun. Looks like there’s a lot of wasted real estate on the keypad, more noticeable on the lighter version. why hasn’t anyone else noticed this. Did they want to keep the number keys small just because returning customers are familiar with that layout? What a shame..

I actually really like the trackball. It’s fast and efficient, especially with a lot of scrolling (although obviously the spacebar can do that too).
I do agree that it does look oversized, although hopefully it’s just an optical illusion.
I also agree that the Call and End buttons need to swap with the Menu and Back buttons. Seems more normal that way, although this is RIM we’re talking about.

Wonder if the ball will change colors again…

BG do you have any scoop on the processor rumored to power this beauty? Is it the same as the Pearl and Curve?

Man!
I am so offended!
“Negro” is so 1968.
I prefer African American or just plain Black. Sheeeeeesh!

Negro is the spanish word for black, unless you’re just kidding, in which case you can just ignore this comment.
