HBO hits iTunes

Our favorite TV network just hit the iTunes beltway. HBO is finally gracing the isles of the iTunes TV store. Episodes of The Sopranos, Sex and The City, Rome, The Wire, Deadwood, and Flight of The Conchords are all available immediately. This marks the first time that Apple has diverged from its static $1.99 pricing model, with Rome and The Sopranos each coming in at $2.99/episode, while the rest of the series are adhering to the $2 price point. Excited? Yeah, we are too. Some of the shows, including Sex and The City, include all seasons, while others, including The Sopranos, only feature certain seasons. Now please excuse us, we have some TV to watch.

I guess this is OK if you need to catch up on the occasional episode, but if you need more than 5 or 6 episodes, I wonder if it’s cheaper to just grab the season DVDs off NetFlix.

Of course, if you simply MUST have your eps of “The Mind of a Married Man” on the go…….
