Sprint Treo 800w shows its face
…well, at least in certain sense of the word. A report generated by a Sprint-branded Treo 800w has shown up on DSLReports.com. The speed test reveals a couple of interesting tidbits about the upcoming handset. The phone will be running Internet Explorer 7.1, a much needed overhaul to the company’s current mobile browser. We’re assuming this also means that the device will be based on Windows Mobile 6.1, though there’s nothing in the info to confirm that suspicion. Screen resolution is 320×320, and internet speeds, at least as reported in this test, are a disappointing 475kbps, which is hardly Ev-DO Rev. A speeds. No word, of course, on price or availability, but we’ll keep you updated.

Yawn.

A Treo? Really? Blah.

Why not call it by it’s real name? A Handspring relic with a facelift!

You can’t call it a Handspring because if Palm never bought them, Palm would be dead and they would be the leader. Besides with Sprint dying and only releasing Palm Treos, they’re days are numbered.

Treo has a faithful following, would be nice to say that about Sprint too but the way it looks they will be #4 or DT 1

“Faithful following”? Didn’t Jim Jones and DuhBya also have a faithful following before their moral bankruptcy became known?

It aint that bad, but then again there is going to be a change, maybe DT will adopt Wi-Max
