BlackBerry 9000 to be announced May 12th at WES 2008
You heard it here first, people! The much-awaited BlackBerry 9000 will be announced on May 12th, the first day of WES 2008 in Orlando, FL. There will even be booths setup so y’all can demo the device to your heart’s delight. Word has it that Mike Lazaridis will be up on stage announcing the device. You know, getting his Steve Jobs on! This is 100% confirmed, too. So…who’s excited?
P.S. If you absolutely can’t wait for the 12th, Kevin over at CrackBerry.com got his hands on a BlackBerry 9000 and has put it through the paces!

I really hope this is out by July 4. I really want to replace my iPhone by early july and this is numer 1 on my list.
my verizon plan is up 3 days later if this comes out soon enough i may just have to switch to at&t

you’re gonna replace your media oriented iphone with a business minded Blackberry? The two devices are literally the opposite of each other.
He probably tried to use the iphone as a business device as I did and found out it was a total failure. I had to sacrifice that fabulous iphone screen for real business features on the BB

I had one in my hand today, that screen is sexy, the touchscreen is due in September though, so I think I’ll resist this for the time being

Um, WES doesn’t start till Tuesday. On Monday is all training courses and setup.

I find it funny that there is a post about the release of a sweet new blackberry (9000), followed by a post about the Curve just now hitting Sprint. Hilarious. I love at&t.
