me and my husband have sprint for 3 years now and whenever I want a new phone the take care of me I have had 5 phones just because I like a new phone and never paided full price and as for service they do have the best my husband travels the the country he’s a truck driver and alwasys has service even in po-dunk middle of no where towns and as for roaming rarely happens but its included in the everything plan

I didn’t even know that Sprint launch the BB curve 8330… no advertising; personally BB curve from Verizon is the best; along with the network.

Just ordered my curve off of sprint.com, the phone itself was 197.63 after instant rebates (including tax). With mail in rebate it will be 97.63 including shipping and everything. Should come in 2-4 days.

$420 Instant rebates, 100 mail in rebate…ready for it to come!

Interesting, I use Google Maps on my SPRINT 8130 and it uses the GPS fine. It’s free, provides me turn by turn directions (ok, no voice telling me what to do, but the map does it for me), and my location is accurate within 3 meters.

why is this the only mobile site that has no coverage of the blackberry 9000 prototype that crackberry.com picked up on ebay? is someone’s ego bruised that he wasn’t the first to get his hands the new model?

it is amazing that you will post on the battery life reported in a magazine article, but will not comment on VIDEO reviews of the new handheld and os.

another fishy sign is that a MSD card is included. also there is no mention of video which i think would be proudly mentioned as it is a “new” feature for the curve.

i guess we will see sooner or later. the photo could be shopped but the date could be right.

just got off the phone with a supervisor of Loyalty group Priority Team they confirmed tomorrow’s release and said that phone available to order after 12am, thru retentions, telesales, no customer service availability thou, if you can reach em you can order thats what the gentelman said (i bet with a smile) so im crossing my fingers

Oh, and I am a Sprint (duh) employee and the word is that this is correct, and the Curve will launch within the week, but again, take it with a grain of Salt – this is Sprint.

As for the questions about why sprint charges more than competitors (other than a self destructive tendency) is the difference on the back end – VZ and ATT data are substantially more than big yellow, so pick your poison.

If you are an existing customer, try reasoning with a store/care rep, and see what they will do. There is a lot of internal buzz about “red carpet” customer service, so my store tries to work with customers if they are willing to give a little. I upgrade people early all the time…

Okay, I just got off the phone with the store manager of a store that I’ve been going to for years – he’s always led me in the right direction, and he’s been telling me all along that he didn’t have a firm answer.

Well, he said that as of today, he sees in the system that there are over 6,000 curves sitting in the warehouse that are ready for distribution to our area. So, he said that means they’ll likely be available any day now. He hasn’t heard a firm release date yet, but in the past, whenever he’s seen them in inventory and ready to ship to stores, it’s only been a matter of days since they’ve had them ready to be sold in his store. So, it’s very possible that they’ll be available this weekend!

Actually, no, the included maps application uses the GPS and is free. At least this is the case on the Pearl, and my understanding is the same will be true for the Curve.

Sprint store confirmed today they have received email tomorrow will be the launch date. They want to have it available for Mother’s Day. I hope it comes out tomorrow but I will believe it when I see it.

Way better coverage.. sure.. I was a Sprint customer for 7 yrs before getting fed up with having “digital roaming” at work. And I LIVE in a major city. Sprint is a joke. $99 for everything is a desperate cry for business.

I agree – this “flyer” looks extremely unofficial… I highly doubt it’ll be coming out tomorrow. EVERYONE that I talk to speaks of the end of may/early June. I’d be very surprised if this launches tomorrow.

$599.99!?! With all of the financial troubles that they are in right now, they think an existing customer mid-contract will pay them $599.99? It’s almost like they want people to pay the ETF and go somewhere else to get it cheaper…. Once again very disappointed in them. I guess they have to get that 10M back from VZW somehow.

I am thinking about switching to ATT as well, but there service is so expensive. $99 for unlimited calls, then $30 for unlimited data, then $5 for unlimited text.

what a rip off, i can get all that with Sprint for $99, and way better coverage. But then Sprint rips you off on the phones.

I think that I change phones enough to where I mind as well just pay the additional 35 and go with ATT. But thats not happening until they get better 3G phones. Edge is for the birds!

The problem with ATT is that if you are in a rural area you probably won’t have any cell service period. At least with CDMA if you are out of a major city or north or south of a major interstate you will not be able to make a call. I would switch to ATT in a minute if they had better coverage outside of metropolitan areas, but I don’t want me or the rest of my family to be in an emergency situation and not be able to call for help. That is the biggest problem with ATT.

No one working for Sprint has a clue!!!! Talking to all of them, CS, sales. etc. They all say June 1st and I talked to at least 5 different people. One lady asked me how did I hear about the phone cause she doesn’t even know what all the phone offers and she was working for retentions!!! Has to be the worst company ever.
