Verizon Curve in the wild

Looking for a litle Verizon Curve fix before Friday’s official launch? We’ve got you covered. Nothing earth shattering here, though. Just a couple of pictures to verify that this thing is, in fact, real and that it will be launching soon never hurt anyone. Specs remain the same, and a year or so late arrival, well, remains the same. That said, we’re still secretly excited for this thing to launch into the American CDMA world, though we’re not entirely sure why. Couple more shots after the jump!

Good things come those who wait. Have had my VZW curve for a week. Everyone can say what they like about VZW, at least I don’t drop calls in downtown Atlanta like At&t! A friend of mine was driving to my house to see the new VZW curve while talking on HIS At&t curve, he drop me 3 times!!! LMAO It was hilarious! BTW I live about 3 miles from the At&t’s main office. Yeah that GSM rocks doesn’t it? VZW curve, not a dropped call yet!… AT&T dropped 3 times on the way here… Come on that is TOOO fxxxx funny… Blast away!

VZW network coverage rocks. So we get the phones a little later than GSM. At least we get them with 3G and a network we can actually make calls on.

THE PICS OF THE 8330 FOR VZW MAKE ME JEALOUS I’M WIT SPRINT AND I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THEIR VERSION OF THE CURVE. THEY SAID APRIL 20, THEN MAY 7, NOW AFTER TALKING TO THE SALES REPS AND THE SUPERVISORS THEY ARE TELLING ME THE CURVE WILL BE OUT ON JUNE 1 AT THE SAME TIME THE SAMSUNG INSTINCT COMES OUT. IT WOULD NOT BE A SHOCKER IF SPRINT TELLS EVERYONE THE SAMSUNG WILL BE OUT ON JUNE 1. BUT NOT TILL 2009.

Radio: A small percentage of BB buyers are non-business users. So, no WiFi and GPS is not a big deal. I mean serious why do I want WiFi when I can use the network. Most business users are not browsing on their BB all day and dowloading music files. GPS? The only time I need GPS is when I am in my car driving….OOOPs, guess what, my car has GPS.
Lastly, I don’t switch phones every day like you. So, going from the 8703 to the 8330 is a standard upgrade to me. Both devices are very similar with the 8330 having more upgrades.
Go back to the ATT forum!!!

I just got my VZW Curve last night. I’ve had an AT&T Curve through work for 6 months & can honestly say the VZW Curve is faster. I also prefer the VZW specific theme. It DOES have 3G, as there is a logo on the back that reads: “Qualcomm 3G CDMA.”
@GBallew: I still keep my personal VZW phone b/c At&T doesn’t work where I live (in the San Jose hills). Besides, the EDGE is painfully slow.
As for GPS. I had been using VZ Navigator with my old RAZR & have to say that it is on par with Garmin & TomTom. $10/month is kinda steep so I’ll only buy service for a day or month when I’m traveling. It ranges from $2-$5. Worth it to not get lost. But I’ll admit, would be nice if VZW would unlock it so we can use it with 3rd party apps.

I’m a first time Blackberry user. So far it’s awesome!
I do have a question? is it normal for the trackball to
Sound loose when rolling it around and yes I have the
Trackball audible on mute!
