Possible 3G iPhone Pics Surface

Well, at least it’s not just an iPhone case this time. Pictures are beggining to make the rounds that are reportedly leaks of the upcoming second generation iPhone. Originating on the French blog iPhon.fr, no other details of relevance are available. As you can see in the pics above, the could-be iPhone 2 drops the two-tone back and replaces it with solid black that apparently is VERY prone to scratching. We’re not sure if it’s metal or plastic but if this is the real deal, it won’t matter because you’ll want to case this puppy to avoid having it look like it was just dragged over broken glass. The chrome surround that runs around the perimeter of the phone appears to be maintained although the shape looks a bit different. It also looks like it could be a little thinner than the original, which would be in line with recent reports. What’s your take – real or fake? It does look like an LG PRADA phone, though…

Think its a good mod project by someone. Doesn’t seem to be that different in thickness or size, just different angles. It will be a bit more noticeably different in form factor from what I hear…angles and more!

Engadget has something up saying it is a LG phone with possible Photoshop.

Why not fire that bad boy up if it’s the real deal? I agree that is could be the LG Prada or a good photo shop job with an LG VU. Either way I call fake

    thats fake c’mon.

its way too small first of all. As much as one would assume thats next step for an iPhone, if you think about it it doesnt make sense to shrink it and keep it functional. you think its hard typing on it now! Apple wouldnt shrink it THAT much.

    I say fake…and LG/Prada seems about right.

I hope it’s real. They removed the beautiful shiny chrome and now it looks like a plain old shoe and falls right in line with it’s lackluster set of usable features.

it’s fake or we’d have OS shots stating otherwise.. but I don’t understand the appeal of apple going to an all black case (assuming they do) you couldn’t tell someone talking on an iphone apart from any other phone.. and that’s definitely not something apple typically wants. Unless that white apple glows bright (thus killing battery life) what’s the appeal? yet another all black phone? gimme a break.. lame

it looks far too scratched and scuffed to be a leaked prototype… to me its a modded first gen iphone, or like other posts suggest, a prada in a iphone housing. I doubt apple would release something that scratches this easily

    Nokia Roadmap says:

if those hands are standard size that would be a 2,8 inch screen – so i could be a shrinked “iphone nano”. Still i think its a VU on Photoshop – defintely no Prada since Prade is a perfect rectangle

It’s a Vu, no doubt. I have one in my hand here and the phone in the pic is the exact same shape and layout as a Vu. The corners, dimensions, and everything are identical to a Vu. Totally fake.

I looked at the LG Vu at my att store and this looks alot like it, same size and all. Probably why its turned not turned on.

It looks like plastic and that’s the one thing iphone insiders said it would have less of than the current version.

    Hopefully it’ll be fake.

Definitely Photoshopped. The menu button is not correctly proportioned, and you can just barely see digital evidence of the removal of the sources buttons.
