I love the concept. But make it available on US Cellular or Verizon . . . anything but T-Mobile. In northern New England any other carrier has better coverag than TMO

Kyle your a fool. Neither the 9000 or 9100 will be exclusive to att. No blackberry’s are exclusive. Save the thunder. Why would rim put the bold on att when everyone is buying iphones? I work for t-mobile and I shouldn’t be saying this but bold 1700mhz wcdma quad band will be out in august for tmobile. Kikcstart aug 30th.

As far as coverage goes, I can assure you that TMO has way more resources than all other networks combined. If ATT is so awesome, why is tmo blowing there doors off in service price and coverage.

Been with T-Mo since they were Omnipoint. Over 10 years. There was good and there was bad. Most of the improvements came in the last 3-4 years. They put up a TON of towers and fixed the signal issues. I have a rate no one has and I am happy. don’t need 3G just for fast internet and song downloads. Not a kid anymore. They have a large international network on GSM. If you use your regular SIM int’l you will pay a ton of money. More than your worst estimate. If you unlock the phone and buy prepaid SIM at your destination you will be VERY HAPPY.

The new Blackberry’s all look great.. I mean the next gen ones. The kickstart, bold, and whatever the thunder will finally look like I am sure it will be cool. Bold looks a bit large but very good to me with a thin profile. I was sure I was gonna buy it to replace my 8700G and consider ATT since I have no contract. Then I saw photoshops of thunder and heard about it. I then considered that and moving to Verizon. Lastly I saw the kickstart. It is reminscent of my favorite phone that I miss dearly but BB made obsolete overnight— THE RAZR. Amen. My prayers are answered. I am staying with T-Mo and I will upgrade to the kickstart soon after it goes on sale.

When I was checking ATT and Verizon plans I almost fell off the chair. do people actually choose a plan for the phone or the rate??? No matter what phone they have I am never going to pay that much. Ever.

I have been with T-mobile since 1999, even before it was Voicestream. I have never had a problem with coverage and now it is even better. I had 5 bars in the middle of Cambodia during my last trip there. The customer service is always the best. And for the minutes and price I pay, I laugh at people that have to worry what time it is and are the over their minutes when they pay more then I do. I’m looking forward to uograding my MDA with something like this.

T-Mobile coverage is fine. I have had the service for years. Yes there are some dead spots, but all carriers have deadspots (especially in residentual areas). Stop buying all the “best coverage / network” nonsense from Verizon and AT&T.

I am amazed this leaked out as early as it did. RIM is pretty tight with its security. Oh well, now the world knows what is coming. The touchscreen is going to be the real iPhone fighter. This is the LG/Motorola RAZR/KRZR / SONY fighter.

Either way, it will be carried by almost all providers.

I started cell carriers with Verizon, then switched to t-mobile where I stayed for like four years, then a Palm (which i’ve used their normal PDAs for years) released the Treo 700p and I jumped to Sprint and EVDO.

guess what? Two years later I now have a Curve and I’m back on T-Mobile. and you know what? It’s about the same web-surfing experience on the phone over EDGE as it was on my Treo over EVDO (both using Opera Mini at times, or stock browsers). And the EDGE radio doesn’t take near the amount of power

So this phone having EDGE-only doesn’t really bother me, though I’d like to see the inner screen and keyboard. I generally don’t like flip phones but this one has been growing on me over time.

Wow its always awesome when people start opening their mouths about things they know nothing about. Tmobile is one of the nations top five carriers for a reason. In the last three years they have added more coverage than any other provider in the market. They just rolled out their 3g and already have 3g devices ready to go. their ranked number one in customer service by jd power and accociates for how many years now? oh and my bills arnt outrages like my verizons were for the same abilities. hmmm tmobile really does suck huh?…..idiots.

“Broadbased coverage statements about any carrier reveal a level of incompetence…T-Mobile is not the worst…T-Mobile actually a top coverage provider in many markets, along with Verizon.” Hmmm…yeeaahh, right, as long as you stay in VERY highly populated areas(only Metropolitan people are worthy-The rest of you business people, and others who spend $B on data each year are, umm what was that other person’s comment?-OH! yes “aren’t really that profitable”) In reality, there ARE some spots, where VZW does not have coverage as good as T-Slobile, but rarely, and at least VZdub is ADDing coverage all over all the time. Not so with T-Slow
