it is really good
its got the menu system of the bold and the flip is a gr8 idea
i got a protype in the uk
but it works fine with all apps and with outlook etc….

It is the same size as a pearl, I was just playing with it and it is bb os 4.6, they are working out some bugs but it feels nice in my had, not bulky at all.

my friends dad works at rim
he like tests them or whatever
and he brought one home for her
just to play with and such
and the programing is almost done
they just release it so late because they dont want a repeat of the iphone insident
and the kickstart is so much smaller than it looks in this picture

You guy’s are short-sighted. This is a BB RAZR. Razr was the best phone ever cause it was a back pocket jeans, suit jacket slip in, all around slick sexy this rugged comfy phone you can talk on for hours. This is clearly aimed at cell phone users who never had a BB or people wanting a BB light– that is also substantial classy and casual phone without the amateur toyish look of the curve or pearl. One blogger said its a weekend BB. He is absolutely right. This one looks good in my Porsche…..

Well, I for one would be very interested in a flip BB and I’ve talked about it with a few of my friends – virtually all IT guys – and every one of them was excited about the idea. I think there’s definitely a market out there.

As for the iPhone killer question… who cares? I think it’s a very poor idea to hold the iPhone up as THE standard against which every other phone must be judged. Yes, it’s pretty. Yes, it’s neat. Yes, it’s bloody pricey. Yes, I’d be happy to carry something else.

I could not agree more. All pertinent questions.!

For me, I like a flip phone..note emphasis on the PHONE Part – an area that BB is seriously lacking in IMHO. Their microphones suck large.! So As Gr8Guy notes, that unless this unit is a way better PHONE than previous models, I’ll stick with my 8830 and H700 BT headgear.

Having tried the Samsung T719, which I purchased for almost $400, I’d say “No, thank you” on this BlackBerry Flip.
