BlackBerry 9000: Internal Spec Sheet Answers Your Questions
Enough with the speculation, the rumors, the spokespersons commenting on our blogging abilities — we’re setting it all straight right here with this internal RIM doc we just got a hold of. You might be thinking that cover page above is the best part — it is pretty sexy isn’t it — well, it’s not. We’ve got the rundown on everything from language support, to themes, to the redone media appplications. We’re talking the browser, the setup wizard, Wi-Fi, streaming video, and anything else you could want. The latest release date we’re hearing is actually July now (go figure), and that RIM is working on those power problems with the quickness. As we’ve been told, the newer builds are definitely better but not quite there yet. We’ve got a good idea of when it’s going to be announced, but we’ll keep that one to ourselves for now.

Hooah, nice info, BG.

One of the spec sheets talks of BB Maps enhancements. Doesn’t this presume GPS?
The preliminary specs on Phone News (courtesy of BGR?) indicate GPS is supported.
Any chance they will call this the BB HAL?

Any comment of Verizon? As they have announced the Curve, will this delay the 9000? I am ready to change as my old 8703, though the perfect email device, is so yesterday! Please posters, any timing on Verizon? Thanks

July you say? My Curve will be for sale.
Way to go BG!

Verizon Guy said: I think I’ll pass….
Do you really have a choice? I don’t see CDMA mentioned in the specs. That’s okay though. You’ll have 18 months to think about it before you have to worry about seeing it in VZW’s line up.

IMO this would be a much cooler phone if it retained the Curve form factor.

After so many rumors finally we have RIM released spec sheet for BlackBerry 9000. BlackBerry 9000 new pics has also released by e-bay and device seems bit different the then user expectations. BlackBerry fans were expecting that BB 9000 will come with the touch screen concept.

So has there been a rock solid date for this thing yet? If this is really coming in July, I won’t be getting the Sprint 8330.

How come nobody can apparently READ these specs and understand that since it’s a GSM device it won’t ever be available on Sprint or Verizon or (choose your CDMA carrier here)? Come on people, READ a bit before posting dumb questions…
