Psystar Video: We Iz Really Reel!

We can’t remember the last time a company had to spend so much time proving that it was real. We recently posted about a telephone interview with Psystar president Rudy Pedraza, a man becoming webfamous for all the wrong reasons. In the interview, Pedraza insisted that Psystar was the real McCoy despite a flurry of internet chatter and a host of evidence to the contrary. The Psystar site stated clearly that boxes were shipping as of over a week ago so in theory, people should be coming forward with some support for the witch-hunted open computer manufacturer any day now. At this point however, we’ve yet to come across a single testimonial from any customers. In the meantime, the video above was posted by Psystar this past week and it depicts each of its three Open Computer models. They certainly look real, but we want to see them in the wild.

BG. I lived down here my whole life. That video was hilarious. Those guys are everything Miami. That looked like something put together by a high-school student. I think I sat next to that guy in home room. LOL How many times are you going to use “As you can see”. They could use some help with sentence structure. Im sure all these guys drive 5 series BMWs, live with their parents, and tell everyone they run/own a multimillion dollar computer company. Def Sketch but everything in Miami is smoke and mirrors. They sound like used car salesmen.

    You’re an idiot.

Beyond you’re blatant stereotyping of an entire metropolis, I hope most people will realize that these guys are at least making an effort to prove that they’re serious. And since you’re so close, I’m sure you can scope out their physical location if you feel so inclined.

Until then, spare us all your opinionated diatribes. kthx.

For what it’s worth, Psystar DOES appear on the Florida Department of State website, SunBiz.org and I can confirm that the local telephone number provided by them does work, and it appears as though reporters have been able to reach the company at that number.

Also, Pedraza’s home address matches… you guessed it… the FIRST address that was posted for Psystar before it was changed and created such a commotion. So it looks probable that he started the company out of his home, and then moved into a commercial space as things began to take off, yeah?

Is that a crime? Come on guys, you gotta start somewhere! Every budding company is gonna have some growing pains, it’s just a huge shame that Psystar has had to go through it so publicly. I suppose time will tell. Maybe any press is good press as they say.

And it’d be great if bloggers and journalists actually did their research instead of posting slanderous crap like the articles on Yahoo! News and ZDnet. It took me all of 15 minutes to find the information I mentioned above.
