Comments on: Helio offers push Gmail

I’m trying to find a list of mobile devices that are push-enabled for Gmail. So far this post is the only bit of info I can find. Did Google announce this themselves? Is there a link to this announcement? Or even better, a list of what devices support this?

Sorry…you hit send/receive once to enable push email, you don’t hit send/receive after that first time.

Well if hitting send/receive is Push email, I guess I have Push gmail for my WM6.1 phone too.

how is hitting send/receive push email?

This sounds more like “pull” because the user has to hit send and receive to initiate the mail delivery.

For true push, you shouldn’t have to do anything on the device.

If you have to hit send and receive, how is that “push”?
