hey just thought I would correct a stupid error alltel and sprint have a data roaming agreement for evdo and alltel has a huge evdo network so you can have full evdo support in markets with out alltel too.

Got 955k downstream on my touch after the upgrade. It also seems to be running a lot faster (menu switching, etc) and the screen seems to be easier to touch.

Why not visit ppcgeeks.com or xda-developers.com and use the tools to put this rom on your Sprint/VZW touch? I just put the 6800 radio on my Mogul and its helped quite a bit. Not to mention, with those two sites, you’ll probably figure out how to enable your GPS.
