T-Mobile’s Shadow II revealed

We told you the Shadow was going to be a T-Mo brand, remember? TmoNews has revealed the first spy shots of what they claim is the upcoming T-Mobile Shadow. Set to replace the current generation Shadow, this new handset sports a revised look with smooth, rounded lines and a what appears to be a new glossy plastic overlay on top of the navigation keys. This handset, like the original, will be manufactured by HTC. Unlike the original, the Shadow II is rumored to sport Hotspot@Home support, which would make it the first Windows Mobile handset capable of interacting with T-Mobile’s UMA service. Not much to go on aside from that, but we’ll keep you updated as things progress.

I REALLY hope it supports 3G!

Oh no wait - I don’t care anymore. I made posts like that for TWO YEARS about T-Mobile’s handsets. The lucky thing about “two years” though is that’s enough time for a contract to expire. I’ve since switched to a company that actually prioritizes high speed data. So in conclusion, I don’t care anymore!

The new phones don’t have you wishing you were back with the company who prioritizes value do they?

If TMo supposedly has a 3G network that supposed to be released this summer (Which means probably by August or September)why do they keep releasing crappy 3g phones and weak WinMo phones that don’t take advantage of its upcoming 3g network. At&t’s deathstar is looking real attractive right now.

Let me guess. It lost two bars of battery life after 20 minutes of usage.

Hopefully they improved the battery life on this sucker because 3g will drain this puppy dry in a matter of minutes.

    All flash, no substance.

I really hate how HTC let’s the carriers name their devices as “AT&T” (i.e. Tilt) or “T-Mobile” (i.e. Shadow and Shadow 2). It annoys me because people who don’t know anything about this stuff calls it the att Tilt…and it’s not, it’s the HTC Tilt.

I second that emotion. I can’t remember life before my Dash…and if I could, I wouldn’t want to.

The ‘Dash 2′ has been out for a VERY long time… unfortunately it was plagued by problems with battery life, and a general lack of support from HTC including (my personal favorite) several quips from their tech support about how the device (which I was holding in my hand at the time) didn’t exist. It was the HTC S630, Dopod C730, or Softbank something something… also known as the HTC Cavalier. I wish they would start supporting it. It can do everything that current high end phones can do but it’s almost like it’s too powerful, and someone had to silence it.

    Just my two cents.

I just talked to a friend that works at T-Mo & he claims that it will have the same processor as the Shadow 1 & the Wing which is total BS. T-Mo better have a plethora of 3G smart phones hiding somewhere.

3G is not coming to Tmobile til near the end of this year . Besides 3G has not made its spot in the US quite yet . The first shadow was a huge mistake. I am in Tmo PDA Tech support and the shadow is probably the worst PDA you can get (aside from the wing)

I don’t know how you can say the Shadow was a mistake. I liked it when I had it. The only reason I went back to the Curve was because of the kink in the armor. The Shadow would call people when it was in my pocket due to the loose slider constantly unlocking the phone with my butt movement.

Other than that, and less desireable battery life, I liked the phone.
