Run Android on your HTC TyTN II? No problem
Thanks to a crafty developer over at the XDA-Dev community, we’ve got a real live HTC TyTN II running a real live version of Google’s Android OS. The video is woefully short, but does show the user loading and running a working version of Android onto their HTC handset. The interesting thing here is that Android appears to run as an .EXE on top of the Windows Mobile shell, opening up the possibility to have Android running on a wide variety of Windows Mobile devices. Again, we’re not sure how functional this is just yet, but it’s a promising and exciting step forward for anyone looking to get a taste of Android before the first official devices launch. Imagine running this on top of blackberry. Then maybe it wouldn’t matter how out of date the bb ui is. Anyone else agree?
I have a hard time believing that people so smart at working around software and hardward roadblocks can’t figure out a good way to operate a video camera.
Hehe – and once it is running people will be able to prove that the HTC TytnII has the 3D chip … can anyone say class action lawsuit! YES!!!!!!!
So…where do I get it?
Will it work well on my Tilt?
It also works well on the HTC Touch (Sprint version) though the phone and touchscreen don’t work at the moment.

I hate my wizard so much I switched to an 8300 smartphone, this could mean the tired ole wm5 ppc operating system is worth the trouble after all. Unless it runs on my SDA. That would be heaven.
What is the point of it running ON TOP of Windows. I want to REPLACE my Windows. Plus this will just take up more memory making it slower.
When do you guys think it will be ready to replace Windows on my TyTN II?
