HTC posts impressive Q1 earnings report
Given the recent problems experienced by rivals including Palm and Motorola, it’s nice to see a little bit of forward progress every now and then. Today’s heart warming story comes to us courtesy of HTC. The company has just posted their 2008 Q1 earnings report, and things seem to be looking pretty good for the Taiwanese manufacturer. The company earned $1.08 billion in the first quarter of this year, which marks a 38.6% increase from the same period last year. Everything isn’t roses and chocolates, however, as they still saw a 16.2% decrease from Q4 of last year, but given the Holiday frenzy we’re inclined to give them a free pass on this one. Nice work, HTC. Now if only some of that success could rub off on those who will not be mentioned.

Yes but on the TPE there are no ADRs in the US.

Yea I was just gonna say how about we use those great numbers to get out WinMo 6.1 and some new 3D drivers…

Wish they’d share some of those impressive earnings with their customer base in the form of drivers for their high profit smart phone devices, otherwise their Q2 earnings are NOT going to be as impressive.. AT&T Already pulled the TyTN II Variant from it’s primary lineup

I’m very angry at this company. Profits.
While they promised to include video drivers on their flagship phone, but they screwed us all.
They even advertised it. I’m never buying an HTC phone again. If anyone owned a TYTN II or Tilt phone, you shouldn’t either. We got screwed while the CEO’s profit!
My next phone is going to be an iphone…
