I totally do agreed and think that Palm has created for wat they end up today, included their poor update on Palm (actually the best) PDA OS, THEN those problematic bug in Treo that they never wish to fix, poor customer support…now they pay their price, after for 10 years as Palm user, i finally switching to Blackberry, which i am so happy i no longer dominated by their Palm OS…yes, indeed, people will only feel good to see one stupid company fall like this, just like Yahoo…Yahoo is nothing but stupid, they fall people will happy.

Palm’s problem was they forgot what made them big, the Treo device. They let it stagnate too long and now they are paying the price.

What we are witnessing here is a company in it’s death-throes. R.I.P Palm. Your I.P. will live on in someone else’s product(s).

As for the Foleo, that was a solution looking for a problem. The whole point of technology is to make standalone devices more functional the Foleo would have been a step backwards by adding a needless dependency.

I have to agree with that last comment, the Foleo was ahead of the curve on Apple and unfortunately Palm backed down when the blogosphere (Engadget) went after Palm. It is funny how Apple can rip off Palm and be the darlings in that story. Sad, jist sad.

They are idiots. One bad move after another. A rusty operating system, notebook companion, and the same design for years until the recent Centro. If they fell off the map, I don’t think anyone would miss them. It’s a shame. Oh, and the best part is blaming the current economy and credit market. That’s just too funny!
