BGR Radio: Episode 1

Jibi and I took a little time out to do this first episode of BGR Radio for y’all last night. There’s a ton of info in here: we cover the BlackBerry 9000 and the whopping $900-$1000 SRP, the new 3G iPhone, how they both stack up against each other, and how RIM will compete with the iPhone and Windows Mobile. We also get a little technical for all you uber-geeks out there, so we’re breaking this up into two different segments. First one is below, second one tomorrow morning!

That was nice! Im new to BGR… Im still deciding on my first BB purchase of either the 8320, 8330 or 8830. I can’t decide. Sounds like the 9000 will have everything I want but coming from a SK2 anything will do! Any suggestions? Looking forward to more!

Jibi, BGR…awesome job guys, I was excited when I saw this in my viigo, couldn’t wait to get home and have a listen, although…wtf was up with that cut off..right in the middle man (basically cause it’s 2 parts), no warning or nothing..lmao

Anyways, stay away from youtube..keep “anonymous” and don’t eat yellow snow…and give us a damn RSS feed.

You sir are a genius. No one else is doing anything remotely as cool and fly as this is. Forget podcasts, you are taking it to the next level. Hopefully you get a real show on the radio because that would be massive and I know that everyone in my office would listen everyday! Hell, even my wife and her friends would listen. Great job

    Forget podcasts?? *scratches head*

Can’t wait for it to be made a podcast – I would subscribe to it in a heartbeat. I need to fill the dull stretches at work with something interesting to listen to!

Wow the Blackberry 9000 sounds crazy high! But you have to also look at what Pantech Duo’s and HTC Tilt’s and so on cost as well as the iPhone cost. But yeah wow that is very crazy high $400-$500 cost. In my point of view Apple likes to keep things on lock down and isnt a very OPEN company at all. I would love to hear your opinions on now Google Andriod will affect Apple espically and Blackberry also.

BG – loving the inaugural episode, keep it up! I think RIM has really been backed into the corner with the iPhone, and are trying to get as many new devices in the pipeline as possible. Unfortunately, with R&D stretched so thin, there are bound to be delays. I mean look at how many jobs they have open – they’re scrambling.

$900 to $1000 for a 9000! I will still buy it! People payed darn near that for the inferior iPhone! This will be worth way more that a iPhone to me. No keyboard = no love!

I got the money where is the 9000? How much longer do we have to wait? Everyone is waiting on OS4.5, not me, I want the 9000.

Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. And it will leave you unfulfilled.
