Fire red Motorola Sidekick Slide launching on T-Mobile late May, early June?

We just got word that the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide is about to undergo a little color-change operation. Wow, that sounded weird. In any case, the new "fire red" Sidekick Slide should be hitting T-Mobile shops in late May, or early June according to our tipster. All you naysayers that complained about the purple color are going to have to find something else to complain about. Oh, we know! When you open and close the phone it deletes your contacts and turns on and off. (Kidding)

There is no saving the slide series…It will always be looked upon like the sidekick id was. Unless T-mobile offered it for $150+ less then it would a be more reasonable purchase. Whats sad is there both almost identical hardware wise.. Hope microsoft develops a killer os/service in the new sidekick that is obviously in the makings by now.

Haha I was going to say they need to remedy the random resets before introducing a new color. I’m fine with the current color. I still don’t know why guys can’t get past the color. I think it is very sleek looking and a perfect design choice. I just need one that isn’t plagued by the manufacturing defect!

I guess people don’t remember that the Slide is a Motorola product. That would easily explain color change. The way Moto works, expect color changes to last until 2009 when they come out with the follow up, the “Glider”.
Hopefully, MS & Danger come up with a ridiculous OS and employ either HTC or Sharp to do the next SK.

In my oppinion, you get more value for your money when you buy a SLide. Faster processor, more RAM, nice screen, better camera, tiny. The LX is merely a Sidekick 3 with a nice screen, better camera flash, and.. lights? Males need to stop doubting their sexuality when it comes to the color of the best Hiptop yet. Besides… what’s wrong with purple? I see guys wearing pink.

I have had the Slide ever since I was on a user trial for it, and all I can say is it is an excellent phone all around. Yes Moto dropped the ball in the beginning, but aside from that it’s great. I actually compared this with my friend’s LX, and in my hearing test I found that the audio quality is better than the LX’s.
I like my Sidekicks simply because of the operating system. Though I hate the market that T-Mobile tarkets for these phones… everyone that I know that has a Sidekick doesn’t even fit into who they go after. I’ll probably switch over to an Android phone once those are out since the former Danger CEO moved onto that.

Tony i would have to disagree. The Slide doesn’t have a faster processor. That phone is more like the the 3 than anything else. All thats different is how it is presented ( glider). Now one thing i do agree on is that the color. Who cares you see men say ” Only Real Men Can Wear Pink.” And it is advertised on pink shirts as well. Only real men would buy that sidekick for its color then, but real men would also have to look at the stats too. If you go on any rating website like Cnet it tells you all the problems with it. And why buy the sidekicks now when a better one is coming out late next year. It will have everything an LX has and more like Wi-Fi! I am not trying to change your mind about what you guys have already but really before you buy read all the reviews then you will make the better choice. Most of you your sidekick is fine depending on what you do. The slide is gopd for children and stuff but the LX is great for teens, because it bigger because your hands are getting bigger, and you would not want to cramp your hands. This is my opinion on the topic, of the SideKick SIDE. =)-

I’m upgrading to the red slide next month. my bestfriend has the LX and she hates it. my other bestfriend has the Slide in purple and loves it. I was going to go with the Dash or Blackberry Pearl, but the red Slide pushed me away from the other two options. My phone is a “ghetto”, “generic” version of the “real deal”. I say its all in how you treat you’r phone. I’ve never had any problems with my phone. Hopefully I’ll enjoy the upgrade. I’m really excited to get my Red Slide. [: I think its sexy. Even though Purple is my favorite color in the world. Prove me otherwise about not getting the Sexy Slide. =P
