BlackBerry Curve 8330 - Six Carriers with Fool’s Gold

As you may remember, almost one year ago, we broke news of the BlackBerry Curve 8330. Granted, some facts have since been corrected (not a World Edition device), but it’s been a rather long wait for CDMA customers wanting a BlackBerry Curve device. Recent news posted on BGR has shown pictures of the Sprint release, as well as a launch date for the Curve model.

Now, for your very own pleasure and enjoyment on the only site you love, we bring you pictures of the BlackBerry Curve 8330 from your favorite neighborhood CDMA carriers - Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, Telus, Bell Mobility, and US Cellular.

    Andy,

AT&T service is very good. I have fantastic coverage and great voice clarity up and down the coast (I’m in NorCal). Just as good as VZW. Their CS has been a pleasure, too. I haven’t missed VZW at all since switching over.

I’ve had verizon for such a long time I feel like I own a part…of course, even after how much I shell out for 6 lines, that’s not the case. I was hoping this curve would have global capabilities and uncrippled GPS (again, being there so long I knew the realities). I didn’t wait around and started moving my lines to AT&T for the freedom of travel and gps. I will always keep a Verizon line just in case their “open network” surprises me in the future…

I have also noticed that everyone is hyped up as if Sprint is getting it first. That may be because an actual release date was leaked. But if you go to the actual blackberry website and navigate to the curve 8330, it only lists Verizon. Granted if you click on it, it takes you to the Verizon site for the 8830. But they are probably going to put them on the same webpage anyway. BB and Verizon are just preparing ahead of time. VZW will get it first, is all I am saying here, not sprint.

All Blackberry phones had a may date look at the pearl shots back in the day, they all say May 25 as well. just calm down………

It’s a default date… the VZW pearl was released in November and it had May 25 on the press shots…

I am still wondering if this is a April Fools Joke. I understand Verizon has launched last night but I am thinking we could be getting hosed on theses colors. Why would the spy pics of the real sprint model be in silver. The brighthand ad showed silver then we see a black one everybody is saying is fake . hmmmmm… I guess we will see tomorrow if its April Fools.

I like the color scheme on the sprint model ill probably pick that casing up for my curve (that I’ve had since Sept.)

Still I want that 9000. I’m currently running an 8320( red and gold) with a nokia n810 so I’m in no hurry.

    BGR keep doing ya thing!

It’s obvious to me that VZW does not put any emphasis on their company’s corporate design. For proof, just look at their website. It’s fugly as hell.

The silver choice is just another testament to their lack of judgment when it comes to aesthetics.

I don’t hate the silver…but it does not compare to the sleekness of the dark titanium. Plus, I’ve always been a fan of BLACKberries that are…well…BLACK.

the sprint one loooks entirely doctored. the ‘picture’ is not real enough to pass my eyes as a picture. telus does not have a date on their ‘8330′ and along with all of the other malfunctioning calendars here, it does not work for me. the verizion unit will hold water with me, as we know it is real and really coming..in may. besides that, i am not holding my breath for ANY other cdma carrier. sorry to shhh in your cereal, i am as dissappointed as any, but photoshop is what i do. there are too many inconsistencies here

Huh? Please explain why the Sprint photo looks “entirely doctored.” Where do you see signs of image manipulation?

You guys are the ONLY site that I trust when it comes to technews. In fact I was whining when I heard you were going on vacation (your team did a great job while you were gone btw).

Anyway, I wasn’t questioning your integrity or credibility… I was just pointing out that it’s April Fools time and the title of the post was “Fool’s Gold”… Any good jokester is on the lookout for other jokes.

By the way, did you hear that Microsoft and Google are in talks to partner Office and Google Documents?

See, you’ve always got to be on the lookout for April Fools Jokes.
