As you may remember, almost one year ago, we broke news of the BlackBerry Curve 8330. Granted, some facts have since been corrected (not a World Edition device), but it’s been a rather long wait for CDMA customers wanting a BlackBerry Curve device. Recent news posted on BGR has shown pictures of the Sprint release, as well as a launch date for the Curve model.

Nice to see Verizon step up to the plate, if the 9000 is going to take a year or more, i’ll take the curve. Even though Verizon is always slower than AT&T - the coverage and service is worth it.
Is the processor going to be upgraded?

Ironic…how i waited almost a whole year for the BB Curve to come out for Sprint and last week I broke and bought an iPhone…
But no regrets…I don’t think the BB Curve would hold all my music and play it as good as the iPhone does anyways…
ps. Sprint service and customer service really sucked…thank GOD i’m no longer stuck with Sprint…

Why can’t Verzion just get a phone before AT&T for once.

Cesar - Just go ahead and make the switch to T-Mobile if that is what you want to do. The 8830 will not work with US GSM networks. It’s all CDMA here and GSM over the rest of the world (mostly).

Who are you kidding saying that Sprint service sucked?? There is just no way that AT&T service is better than Sprint. Customer service maybe, but you’d have to be an idiot to need to call customer service more than once ever 3-6 months!!
I understand switching to AT&T because they have better phones, but you said Sprint services sucked!

I agree with the other posters. CDMA needs to rollover and die. Who the hell wants last years devices? CDMA is an ‘afterthought” to most device manufacturers and that’s why CDMA gets all the great devices dead last.

Did anyone else notice that the dates on most of the phones are wrong. First of all, most of the phones say May 25th(it’s not May yet), but are inconsistant on the day(Wed, Thur, or Fri). This to me suggests that all of these pictures are photoshopped. I believe the color schemes of the casings are correct, but I also think that the screens are pictures of screens taken from other devices(like the 8830’s).
Either way, I hoped that they have updated the memory issue, and that this will be a world edition device. I need to upgrade bad, because it seems like I have been using my 8703e forever now.

The cancellation fee and contract price of a curve on tmobile combined is probably less than the outright price of a curve on Sprint plus the contract price of a curve on Tmobile when you switch.

Good call on the dates… One says Wednesday May 25, another Thursday May 25 and yet another says Friday May 25. All strange since tomorrow’s April 1st…
Also, if there haven’t been any pics floating around for the other carriers, why are they all miraculously rounded up here… Imagine how many days it would take to get all of these “Pre-release” shots. On a techno rumor site, they’d be out ASAP to get the exclusivity on the story.
