HTC’s “Manilla” gets screenshotted

For those that don’t know, HTC’s "Manilla" is basically a customized interface that’s on top of the standard Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS. The actual screen shots a good friend provided us with are from a "cooked" X7510 ROM with the "Manilla" part thrown in from an unreleased VGA device HTC is working on. Also we’ve been told that "Manilla" is not technically TouchFLO 2.0, TouchFLO 2.0 just has a few updates to the scrolling part of it and the cube, nothing more than that. We’ve got to say that we’re in love with these screenshots and how Windows Mobile 6.1 is looking after HTC got a hold of it and put their own customizations on it. Maybe that or the VGA resolution. Well, both actually. Hit the gallery for the screenies!

P.S. Don’t forget to check out the Athena project over at XDA. You just might well get a little "Manilla" rub-down if you know what I mean…Ok, that was dirty.

Oooo, pretty, I like. That icon to the right of the home icon is new, I wonder what it is. Hope it isn’t contacts, there’s already a contacts soft key.

Man, I hope I can flash my Sprint Touch with this, but I dunno if it’ll rez down to my wimpy QVGA screen :(

I recently got a Sprint Touch (Vogue) and I like the interface. At first I was not sure how I would feel about not having a keyboard but with handwriting recognition its not been missed. This updated interface looks great but I wish there was a little more customization available out of the box instead of having to hack it.

I was just playing with a Touch at a Sprint store and this was the UI in landscape mode, it wasn’t very intuitive but it could have been me.

Yea, I gotta say this is like 5 years away from the iPhone.

I can’t wait for it, and when this gets hit on my Tilt it’s going to be simply extravagant.

    Hi
As far as i know that this rom will be available for HTC Advantage only. You cannot be able to use on other devices. May be you can extract the cab files from the rom for your other devices.
