Apple makes iPod Nanos a bit sweeter

Looking to purchase a refurbished iPod Nano sometime soon? You’re in luck. If you purchase a refurbished iPod Nano anytime between now and June 30th, Apple will throw in a little somethin’ somethin’. If you follow the instructions to a T, you should find yourself in possession of a next-to-new iPod Nano, and a $15 iTunes giftcard to boot. It’s a pretty good deal, but the offer begs the question: Is Apple trying to clear stock to ready themselves for a new Nano introduction? WWDC starts on June 9th, so we wouldn’t be shocked if something surfaced around then, but then again, trying to predict Apple’s product cycle is like trying to get PacMan Jones to stay out of a strip club. Failure is inevitable.

They’ll probably add higher capacity models soon like they did with the shuffle, iTouch and iPhone. My guess is drop the 4GB model and add a 16GB version.

I seriously just bought a refurb nano. It showed up yesterday. EVER TIME I BUY AN APPLE PRODUCT THIS HAPPENS! I got a 16 GB touch, the next day the 32 GB one came out. When I got my iMac, 3 weeks later the new one came out. When we got iMacs at work, 5 weeks later they switched to intel chips. It never fails! My sister even just got a new Macbook Pro like 2 weeks before they upgraded them. What the hell man!

Um, Nick, they’re constantly improving. You wouldn’t want them to stop doing that, would you?

I’ve never understood this line of complaint. Shop, buy what you want, and be happy with it knowing that it will be surpassed within a very few months. That’s the way of electronics. Apple is not unusual.
