iPod Touch price drop on the horizon?
If the Dutch iTunes store is to be believed, the answer is a definite "yes!" The Dutch store is currently running an ad for the iPod Touch, advertising the multi-touch DAP at the bargain basement price of 199 Euros. This represents an 79 Euro drop from the original price of 279 Euros. This drop would lend credence to a set of rumors circulated before the recent SDK announcement, stating that the iPod Touch would see a $100 price drop. If this happens, it’s a good bet that the 8 GB model will go the way of the DoDo, bringing the 16 GB model in at $299, and the 32 GB model in at $399. Coupled with the recent price drop on refurbished iPhones, this could mark a real push by Apple to corner the entry-level market.

As a best buy part time employee, 8GB are no where to be found in stores (shortage inventories). In Sunday ads, you would only find 16GB and 32Gb. So take what its worth, BGR
279 minus 79 = 200!!!
its a fake. the dutch store says €279 and the UK store says £199 which is where the numbers came from
I’d like to see the 32GB iPod Touch at $299 and hasn’t this been posted like 3 times in the last month?
i love it if the itouch 32gb dropped to $299-350
A little more patience on my part befor I run out and purchase one
this is fake, i just visited the Dutch Apple Store online and the price for the 8GB is still 279,00 euros!!!!!!
