LG-VX9700 On its Way to Verizon
LG appears to have its game face on in 2008, at least as far as fashion phones are concerned. We’ve already reported on several sweet-looking LG handsets making their way to US carrier hands and it looks like the cycle continues. Phone Arena scooped a PRADA-like handset that just made its way though the FCC approval process and has been given the all-clear for release in the US. Beyond the big bright touchscreen seen in the image above, here are the reported specs:
- 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and Schneider Kreuznach lens
- 2.1 Stereo bluetooth
- microSDHC support
- microUSB port
- EVDO support
A PA reader added that the device may have been scheduled for a late-March release but delays could push it back to April or May. In any event, an arrival sooner rather than later is a safe bet as its estranged brother the Vu should be coming to AT&T this half as well. The VX9700 has the potential to go far in appeasing Verizon Wireless customers who want a nice touch experience but would rather forgo the bulk of the Voyager.

hey guys i was wondering what the touch screen will be like… cuz i have a voyager and i absolutely hate the touch technology….its nothing like the heat sensor of the ipod which makes it so much better. will the Dare have the same touch screen type as the voyager??
duuuuue will the touch screen be like the voyager? if so it’ll be no different and therefore not be very cool.
i wanna know wether or not the lg rumor will come out for verizon
You guys are hilarious. For those that thought it wasn’t coming out on Verizon…did you bother to look at the picture? See that red square with the “Get It Now” arrow in it? Thats a hint.
Also, by now the phone has already been announced. I just thought I would point out the obvious.
the phone is out now.
its about 409 retail.
and for a 3 year agreement it costs 199$ after 50$ rebate.
There are no 3 yr contracts with Verizon. The phone is out now. 249.99 plus a 50 mail-in on a 2 yr contract, 319.99 on a 1yr, and 359.99 on no contract. I have one in hand and it kicks the crap out of every other touch phone.
