Rev. A and GPS coming to Sprint Mogul on Monday?

Yeah, we’ve certainly heard this sort of thing before, so don’t get too excited just yet. That said, word on the internets is that Sprint is planning on releasing a major Mogul ROM update this Monday, March 10th. What exactly will this supposed update include? In addition to the Bluetooth fix that’s been rumored since about 3 days after the phone was launched, it looks like Mogul owners might be getting a bit of EVDO Rev. A and GPS action. That would be a huge relief to many Sprint Mogul owners who have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of such functionality. We wouldn’t mind seeing a Windows Mobile 6.1 update pushed along as well, but that doesn’t seem too likely. Keep your dial tuned here come Monday morning, and let’s see if Sprint manages to deliver.

you’ve got to be kidding. I got this crappy phone from Sprint what seems like 6 months ago. And they are only now releasing the ROM upgrade. And maybe not even that is true? Sprint is so horrible. This is why the company is failing. NO GOOD PHONES. They used to have the edge–somehow, somwhere along the way they totally lost their edge. Bad BAD Carrier.

Sprint gets a lot fallout for the Mogul mess (yes, I’m an owner) but, I think a lot of this is HTC. A lot of people praise HTC but as much as they’re great hardware developers…they software and driver support SUCK! It seems that ALL of the HTC devices have some bluetooth issues and the video driver mess doesn’t help.

While Sprint does have crappy customer service, I think this isn’t entirely their fault. HTC needs a new team devoted to putting their ROM’s out the right way. Rev.A was promised in the fall, this ROM update was promised in early Q1. This is just poor management.

and @Jeff - yep the gps antenna is already in there. this will just let the masses take advantage of it.

I will echo those who have had GPS and RevA for the past couple of months. DCD and No2Chem did a great job with their latest roms and the leaked gps one isn’t even bad. I’ve had nothing but good luck since I got this phone.
